Star Wars: Episode IX

Disney CEO Bob Iger confirms that 'Episode IX' is in pre-production! Woohoo!

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, who or what do you want to see for the final (currently) chapter and the (should be) absolute final episode of the Star Wars saga??

I heard/read rumors that Disney wants to expand past E10, focusing on other characters than the ones we've seen to date. Any truth to that?

Star Wars is likely going to become the next Marvel Cinematic Universe - with movies coming out every year along with spinoffs.

Episode 10 and beyond are an inevitability so long as Star Wars is making money.

[member="Satia"] Not sure of what is set in stone, but Disney CEO Bob Iger confirms more Star Wars films way into the future.

As you say [member="Soeht"] Disney are making a truck-load out of Star Wars with only 2 films currently out. I doubt the desire for more will wain anytime soon.

Episode X? I don't know about that for sure, or if IX will end the 'Skywalker' saga, but with so much else out there, more movies are a given I think for stand alone tales like Rogue One in and around the current timeline.

Half Bond, Half Bean.
'Jurassic World' and 'The Book Of Henry' director Colin Trevorrow has dropped out of Star Wars: Episode IX because he and Lucasfilm have differing "visions".

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-41172165

"Colin has been a wonderful collaborator throughout the development process, but we have all come to the conclusion that our visions for the project differ. We wish Colin the best and will be sharing more information about the film soon."

[member="Kira Vaal"] I'd much prefer a director to take on two to keep SOME artistic / creative flow rather than a new vision everytime. It's fine, don't get me wrong, and we see with the original trilogy they all bring something new...but I do like having some consistancy.
