SSB Auction - Incom, Hekler'kok, ATC, and more!

SSSbazaarsmallbanner.png

"Alright ladies and gentlebeings... time for what you have been all been waiting for." came the sultry honeyed voice of the bombshell minx that was Danger Arceneau.

Standing in person, behind a booth at the far end of the Expo warehouse, was the titaned haired President and organizer of the Southern Systems Business Expo and Auction.

And while the rest of the patrons wandered about to buy some goods, those few who were willing to risk it all and get a high off the adrenaline rush of an auction will be able to kick it up another notch here.

"Welcome to the Southern Systems Business Bazaar auction!" Roars, cheers, and some excited clapping ensued. There were folks who were present in person as well as others who's images were emitted from holographic emitters throughout the auction area. Still others who were using a third party to place their bids.

It was gonna be a great time.

"Baron Deathmark if you please..." Danger would gesture to the overseer of the current auction. There were several very interesting items, many from several companies as well some interesting trinkets.

The following are very rare items from AEL that are no longer available to purchase.

1x Talisman of Concentration - Talismans of concentration were magical devices that Sith sorcerers used during complex rituals where vast reserves of dark side Force energy were required. Through physical contact with the talisman, the Sith sorcerer's ability to manipulate the Force was amplified while they focused all of their will on the execution of a desired effect.
  • 50 million credits.

1x Korriban Compass - Assists in tracking Sithspawn and locating items of significant alchemy
  • 500k

1 Sith Abattar - Amulet used to master the Sith, both written and verbal.
  • 20 million

1 Ring of Aza'zoth - Ring to see in low light.
  • [member="Roger Kranos"] - 2 mill

1 Valiant Ursine Companion The Valiant Ursine Companions are tireless, require no sleep or nourishment (like the tuk'ata, they can draw sustenance from the Force itself, and hibernate for long periods of time), and are staunch defenders of children in hazardous circumstances. Some, made from Watchers, are largely inert and have no claws, but those who mean harm to the Valiant's child may find their way barred by a powerful will. They may even find themselves thrown back by a moderate shockwave derived from Watcher and Jakobeast defenses. The other Valiants, made from the mobile statues, are armed with retractable claws and capable of using and even improvising a variety of light melee weapons. Valiants are available with soft-edged, safely chewable, fully functional duraplast helmets.

Danger would slowly start to make her way over towards her VIP booth. There was something about having a quiet atmosphere in the wake of her 'verse crashing down on her.

No one would know; her smile would continue to shine, her voice would have that honeyd rasp that would paint images of hot sultry Tatooine nights. And her sway would beckon like a well trained Companion, tempting delights with each roll of her hips.

She had her datapad in hand, for she was as much a bidder as the next saptient in this auction. There was one item that held her fancy... one that had her hesitating over the name.

It was painful.

It was reality.

[member="Silara Kuhn"].

They must have married recently.

Alric certainly worked fast. That made sense. Her lips would tense, thin.

Fingers would tap lightly, and a bid would follow suit.

Three hundred thousand credits for Laravan Corporation.

An anonymous bid came through for ATC's offer of a paid weekend to Koltos.

"75K, but only if you go yourself, Arceneau."

It was signed with a single letter -J. Perhaps not as anonymous then. They hadn't seen each other in... a long time.

A man of style, a man of pizzazz, a man of stuff! Kranos smiled meekly as he looked around, mid stride, gazing for some sort of special seat that looks comfy. A man of comfort! He wore a blue track suit, a ralltir plush tiger backpack with a sewn on smile, and shiny gold tennis shoes. A many of style! His hair, long and black, was tied back in a low knot while his beard remained free flowing and natural.

Sauntering, with a modicum of pep to his step, he found a seat and sat back. Were cigarettes allowed? Time to find out! Blazing up, the object hung loosely from his mouth as he struck the datapad, propping his feet up on the chair in front of him.

Bids:
-2 mil on the Ring of Aza'zoth
- 200 thousand on the bracers
- 100 thousand on the cuffs
- 200 thousand on the glistaweb and vine silk

Once he grew the CFFC to large enough proportions, he would start his own clothing line as a subsidiary. He could just see it now, bejeweled and bedazzled and drugs everywhere. Good times in store, he was sure.

1X Incom Corporation XJ-9 Advanced X-Wing Starfighter Link - http://starwarsrp.ne...dvanced-x-wing/ Starting Auction – 50,000 Credits.

Sarge wasn't an auction person, but he'd found that recently he needed to keep himself busy. No goals for the moment, save keeping the wheels turning, and that was easy enough to do. He knew how to maintain a machine; it was people that were his problem. Still, in light of needing to not stay still, he'd come to the auction just to see what was up. They'd always been popular for those with more of a business focus, or bounty hunters - from what he heard - but it wasn't often you saw governmental heads or famously reserved individuals showing their face.

And that's exactly what Sarge did, and in that annoying way of his, he'd made his way where he wasn't supposed to without warning. [member="Danger Arceneau"]'s booth. Not that he was there to flirt. Likely a good thing given their prickly relationship.

But he sent out the starting bid, 50k, before reaching up to pull the hood of his camo cloak down so his disembodied head could sway just above a shimmer of air. "Danger." He tilted his head, sniffing the air. A smirk curled his lips. "You seem a bit wound up." Despite the smirk, his voice was flat. He wasn't amused.

In some ways, he was concerned.

It took a lot to get the Trade Queen off her game in her own element. He smelled a story.

Incom Corporation had been going through quite an extensive overhaul since the termination of the Republic contract - one that was not as costly as people believed but lucrative. There was deep regret within the heart of the former Senator but personal feelings had to be stowed in order to see a company to the peak of success that the scrounged together when it was nearly bankrupted and destroyed at the Battle of Drunkenwell nearly six years ago.

She had noted the list of attendees, both on the block and present. A sigh escaped her lips as she turned to her Frei-Tek Incorporated representative and discussed briefly the E-27s that were being sold before excusing herself to move across the floor. There were people she didn't recognize - except one...[member="Danger Arceneau"].

She'd make her way through the individuals before finally stepping beside [member="Sarge Potteiger"] - clearly ignoring his presence before she spoke to Danger herself. "Ms. Arceneau, a pleasure to see you..." She smiled politely before gesturing towards the other end of the room. "I think there is someone from Frei-Tek who'd like to discuss some new contracts with your company - and Incom is highly interested in increasing the output from Mara." And with that, she'd turn to give Sarge a brief smile before turning back to Danger. "Care to join us?"

With the well known and heavily enforced neutrality of the Trade Queen, the Twi'lek felt secure enough to attend the auction. Besides, it sent a very clear message about how intimidated she was. Not very.

As she browsed the auctions she snickered at a familiar name. Had [member="Silara Kuhn"] used up all her pocket money on her little bounty? How sad. The company and products weren't even worth acquiring, no wonder she'd looked for a rich man to sink her claws in to.

Still there were some items that took her fancy.. They would make current projects much quicker and easier to complete. She keyed in her bids.

Custom Set of Armour : 40,000 credits
Glistaweb Fabric: 300,000 credits
Leviathan Bracers: 200,000 credits
Korriban Compass: 550,000 credits

These were all fairly standard transactions. She paused, considering the next. To make or not to make the bid. She could afford it, but it would actually show up in the paperwork. Still, it could save her life, and did she really want anyone else to have it? That last more than anything had her keying in one last bid.

Talisman of Concentration: 52,000,000 credits

The formerly unknown son of [member="noah corek"] steps into the warehouse. He wears a kevlar/wampa wool blend fabric shirt with light plating along the abdomen and over his kidneys beneath a leather jacket. He wore pants that were slightly more armored and tucked into his combat boots. He carried a single heavy blaster pistol attached to his right leg and a combat knife attached to his left leg. Finishing his look were a pair of sunglasses. He stepped along the line of lots silently, making a thorough circuit of them all before moving back to what he wanted.

He walked to the custom set of armor lot from the Hekler'Kok area and set down his opening bid

Custom Suit of Armor - Kado Malcom-Waight - Bid: $30,000

He then stood back and looked around, keeping an eye on his bid.

Danger was not amused. Danger, however, will not show it. Save for the curious familiarity the Lord Protector enjoyed using with her. Few people ever called her by her first name; it invited the illusion of familiarity.

She didn't need anyone claiming that familiarity right now. The last person who did so ended up wrecking her world; every time she put herself out there, she got hurt.

Everytime.

So with a feint cordial smile, Danger would give an incline of her head, "Lord Protector. Charmed. As always."

Maybe she wasn't though.

Her attention would draw over towards the other woman. Her smile would widen, but no one would be able to tell much about what went on behind her cordial mask of hospitality.

Aeri would come into step behind her, the Zeltron assistant providing a measure of empathic shielding for anyone near. This was her role, to be an assistant as much as to ensure discretion.

"Of course..." Danger would say, moving along to follow the woman. Frei-Tek? Well wouldn't this be a curious curio. Internally she gave a mental curse; she really didn't want to be around the Lord Protector.

Out of the last four, he was the one that would grate on her nerves.

Glistening eyes of the purest void shifted down to look at [member="Alyesa Organa"]. As ever, the first thing he noted about her was her appearance. Thin, pale, dark hair. Right up his alley if he weren't long committed to someone else. The impassive stone of his face scarcely moved as he blinked at her. Were the cloak visible, he imagined he'd have stoked the image of a regal lord regarding his people.

Tall. Broad shouldered. Athletic, lean muscle. A crisp, maintained uniform was set under a cloak that hung about his shoulders and came to a hem down near booted ankles. "Would that I could believe that." He says, looking at the small woman but talking to Danger. Lifting his head once more to quirk one corner of his lips in something approaching an emotion, he tilted his head momentarily.

Something told him this had to do with interest in the X-wing, and the likely hope that he'd purchase more for the Protectorate. A nation well overstuffed with capable fleet and attendant escort craft. Still, part of him wished to say 'no', if only to allow [member="Danger Arceneau"] the ability to be without him for some time.

Why they were adversarial, he didn't know. One of the few relationships he didn't understand.

Even the former Lady Protector was a relationship he'd figured out, at least for the most part. But Danger... well, maybe he'd said something wrong at some point. He wasn't sure. Pulling the hood of his cloak back into place and obscuring his soldiers body in shimmering, hazy air, he gave a quiet nod. "Why not."

Taeli hadn't been to a good auction in awhile, but she couldn't resist showing up to this one to see what might be on the offering table. Sitting quietly in a corner, away from the others and her Force presence closed in on itself, Taeli scrolled through the list of things currently up for bid.

'Let's see here, oh those look interesting,' she thought.

Tapping a few buttons on her datapad, she sent her bids out.

450,000 credits for the Leviathan bracers
53,000,000 for the Talisman of Concentration

It was tempting to go for the company Silara had put up for bid, oh so very tempting, but she really didn't want to get into a bidding war with Miss Arceneau. That just wouldn't be good for business, plus she still had plenty of projects she and ATC needed to begin. She would focus on a few rare items for her collection or personal use for now, and sit in her corner.

"Can I bid on something?" A small voice piped up from his side as they made their way up to the VIP seating at the auction. Having just begun, Judah wasn't incredibly worried about missing any of the action just yet. His son on the other hand thought quite differently.

"Did you bring credits? I'm not talking about what you keep stashed in your sock drawer either."

"No."

"Then we have our answer." Settling into their seats, Judah started to look through the items up for auction one last time in case he missed something. Makai was pressed against him, straining to look at the screen. His two items settled on, the bids quickly went in. The X-Wings were merely for personal pleasure. [member="Thessa Kai"] enjoyed flying around in them and who was he to deny his wife a chance at two brand new X-Wings?

2X Incom Corporation XA-5 X-Wing Starfighters (Separate Units)
-21,000cr each, total 42,000cr for both

-310,000cr for Laravan Corporation

Another familiar name, another concealed snicker. [member="Darth Arcanix"]. Give the ships back, or else legal repercussions. Please. Welcome to dealing with criminals! The Twi'lek didn't much care about the Krakanas one way or the other, the Red Raven fleet grew by the day, and Stargo was happy to develop anything they wanted, it was the principal of the thing really. She didn't like what was hers being touched.

She keyed in updated bids.

Leviathan bracers: 500,000 credits
Talisman of Concentration: 53,000,000 credits, 1 week at any Red Raven casino all inclusive, 1 favour from the Red Ravens

[member="Danger Arceneau"]

Sighing, she recognized the signature of a certain orange skinned Twi'lek trying to one up her. So she wanted to play that way, well fine then, Taeli had a few things she could offer.

Leviathan Bracers - 600,000 credits and a contract to develop a starfighter exclusively for ATC Security forces if wanted
Talisman of Concentration - 54,000,000 credits and agreement to provide one Exalt-class Star Destroyer for ATC security forces

Kado kept an eye on the screens that were showing the bids being placed.

He watched as [member="Darth Arcanix"] and [member="Chiasa Kritivaas"] started their bidding war, and was very glad that he wasn't in the market for anything Force related. Being completely removed from that situation, he watched it with an amused smirk as he sat at a table near the back. A waiter appeared and Kado ordered a drink, non-alcoholic as he wasn't among friends. Or anyone that he knew.

Damien reclined in a seat, elbows set against the rests, the tips of right hand's two fore-fingers resting against his right cheek - an almost thoughtful pose for the man. Glancing at his chest and finger, in that selected order, he tugged on the energies of his dual Talismans of Concentration, then released the hold. Another...it would do wonders for the man..

Typing on his holocom, Damien entered:
x1 Talisman of Concentration - 70 mil creds, a Datacron possessing knowledge on Memnotherapy

Then as an after thought, Damien also added:
Laravan Corp - 2 mil creds

[member="Baron Deathmark"]

When a third party, and one she didn't recognize entered the bidding for the Talisman, the Twi'lek shrugged internally. She'd not really wanted it all that much to start with. It would have been handy certainly, but it was far from necessary. A bidding war with a stranger was no fun in any case. The bracers though.. With a grin she keyed in another bid. She probably could have had something similar made for the same amount or less, but this was convenient.

Leviathan Bracers: 700,000 credits + 1 week at any Red Raven casino all inclusive + 1 favour from the Red Ravens OR 1 design by a Raven sponsored company or individual, any field.
