Description: The Spirit is borne from the production liabilities of the W-Wing, namely that W-Wings were being used in picket roles, for which there were too few W-Wings to go around to adequately fill those roles. The removal of the HIMS and the stealth capabilities allowed the W-Wing frame to be mass-produced for picket duties. Due to the W-Wing's shape, the W-Wing's maneuverability suffers. Ideally there are three crewmembers: the pilot and the gunners, who are responsible for point-defense and energy torpedo launchers respectively. The craft's cargo holds are at the wingtips.

Also, since it was found that ordnance supply could be an issue, energy torpedo launchers are used in place of traditional bomb bays. In addition, the craft can fit 30 people for stealth insertion of combat teams deep into enemy territory. The accommodations can be a little spartan, however. The Spirits can be, in an emergency, stored onboard capital ship hangars, but it is not recommended to ferry Spirits in a hangar.

- Cargo hold: 70 tons
- Passengers: 30
- Consumables: 3 months
- Crew: 3 (but 1 is doable for short-duration missions)
