The Sixth Battalion
The Sixth Battalion was the former Galactic Republic Army based within the Jalor Sector onboard the Republic Capital Command Centre: Bite the Bullet. After the Captain of the Jalor Sector and Republic Navy, Hasjo Hallu, announced his resignation not only from Republic military services, but from the Republic itself. The Sixth Battalion had initially be baffled. Three months later, when Hasjo resurfaced out from isolation with news of recent events. The Sixth Battalion likewise resigned and transferred those willing to the Silver Jedi Order. Few were able to keep their Phase II Republic Armour, those mostly being ranking officers. This has seen the lower ranking personnel wear armour that is rough around the edges.
The Sixth Battalion has seen service in some of the grittiest conflicts the Republic Frontier has participated in recent years. They have suffered through the ferocious hurricane mammoths of Glee Anselm, to the muddy, constant raining jungles of Kowak. While they have yet to fight in total galactic war, they have participated in horrific border clashes and peacekeeping operations. Do not mistake these soldiers, they may be the colour of grass, but they're far from green. The Sixth Battalion specialises in and have been trained in unconventional warfare. Allowing them to have the upper hand in environments others may consider horrible fighting conditions.
PURPOSE:
The Sixth Battalion is apart of the Antarian Rangers, but as stated previously, they're a specialised unit trained in unconventional warfare. The purpose of the Sixth Battalion is to send them into dangerous environmental zones where other soldiers could not fair as equally. From the beaches of Ghoulitau they hooked in for eight months, to a four week operation in Lau Tin, where night-time's were just a jungle dark and a barking DC-17, and each step could mean their last one on two legs. You can rely on the Sixth Battalion to get the job done, or die trying.

They're battle-hardened, but their equipment isn't top notch. In fact, it's rather poor and in desperate need of repairs.
