Intent: To develop a new high-caliber submachine gun for the galaxy's various major factions.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Defiance Consolidated Multipurpose Manufacturing
Model: Slugthrower
Affiliation: Independent
Modularity: Yes
Production: Mass-Produced
Material: Duraplast(polymer hardware), Alusteel(metal parts)
Description: Submachine guns. On many worlds, still the weapon of choice for guard duty or close-quarters fighting. But with the body armor utilized by today's various factions, traditional pistol-caliber SMGs were ineffective against standard laminate, durasteel, or even plasteel. As such, for the first time since designing weapons for the Empire, Subach has released a new weapon to go with its Kalash K74.

Of an enormous caliber, the Sharpshot, as the new weapon is called, is designed to fire a 12.7mm round. The weapon has been made with a various plethora of attachment points, allowing scopes, flashlights, and other extraneous equipment to be equipped. The Sharpshot was designed specifically for use at close range against enemies, particularly those with light or medium body armor. While particularly perforating, it does not perform well against heavy armor, and the larger round means a slower rate of fire around 75% that of a comparable smaller-caliber SMG.
Classification: Slugthrower
Size:
Handheld
Status: Restricted

Weight: 3.4kg
Ammunition Type: Slugthrower round
Ammunition Capacity: Depends on magazine(12 round stick, 25 round extended stick, 50 round drum)
Effective Range: 200m
Time Until Armory Overhaul: 7955 rounds
Strengths: Heavy firepower for its size, excellent with armor-piercing rounds
Weaknesses: Lower rate of fire than comparable weapons, less ammo capacity, high recoil, severe decrease of accuracy beyond 200m
Original Section(s):

Manufacturer: Emeritus Industries

New Section(s):

Can you add something into the description that addresses the effect on accuracy and recoil from the larger rounds? I'm going to assume that the cartridge was not proportionally enlarged in order to keep mass to a minimum and ammo capacity at an acceptable level; as such, accuracy and recoil would suffer.
