TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Lightsaber
  • Size: Hand-Held
  • Hilt Length: 26 centimeters
  • Blade Length: 145 centimeters
  • Weight: 1 kilogram
SPECIAL FEATURESSTRENGTHS
  • Touch: As the Kiin'dray Leather has been incorporated into the hilt of the lightsabre, the wielder will immediately benefit from its grip-augmenting abilities. Adversaries will find it excessively difficult to force the wielder to lose their grip upon this weapon.
  • Ascendant: Having been fitted with an Ascendant Module, this weapon can briefly augment its cutting power to address Lightsaber-resistant materials. With pronounced effort, the Module will allow the wielder to rend through materials such as Mandalorian Iron.
  • Wired: Having been constructed without the presence of Dimetris circuitry, this weapon will not short out when impacting pure Cortosis.
WEAKNESSES
  • Submersion: Although combat in rainy conditions will not yield any negative shortcomings, complete submersion of the weapon in water will short it out - effectively rendering it useless until dried and repaired.
  • Lightsabres: Despite being created by an Alchemist, this lightsabre has not been treated with Alchemy. In and out of use, its hilt is still vulnerable to lightsabre blades and a variety of ordnance that can damage or destroy the hilt.
  • Limitations: Although, the lightsabre can combat these materials for brief windows, the overwhelming majority of the time it cannot cut through such items as Mandalorian Iron, Phrik, Songsteel, etc.
  • Nullification: Combat within a Force-neutralizing or limiting field, such as those produced by Ysalamir or Void Stone, will render the weapon's Force-based affect inert.
DESCRIPTION

During the destruction of Mandalore, Darth Metus' original lightsabre was among one of the many possessions lost to the pyre. For many months following, the construction of a suitable successor was a task put to the side; for the Sith was more focused on establishing his Confederacy over creating a new weapon. Now, with some semblance of stability found in his life, Darth Metus has had the time to thoughtfully construct a weapon that can always rest at his side.

At a glance, the weapon bears no striking resemblance to any one culture. It does not bear the runes of Dathomir. It does not bear the sigil of Mandalore. It does not display the icon of the Sith Empire. Typically, Darth Metus had always placed his allegiance visibly upon his personal armaments; whether it be a phrase or symbol. Yet, for this new saber, he elected not to honor nor display any of the heritages of his past. The reason being, this weapon, much like himself, was not being actively assisted by any of his previous worlds. It was not being elevated by the Witches, the Mandalorians, or the Sith. It was being elevated by one hand alone: His. Therefore, he would not glorify any single nation or culture by carrying their icons at his side.

The lack of national identity aside, the lightsabre is relatively standard. Its hilt length fits the category hand-and-a-half; meaning that the weapon can be comfortably wielded by one hand, but has enough length to accommodate two-handed blows via gripping the pommel. On another note, the grip of the weapon is composed of Kiin'dray Leather: a material specifically crafted to bestow "Touch of the Kiin'dray" upon a wielder's hand. In short, Darth Metus would not be losing his grip upon the lightsabre anytime soon. Internally, the weapon features two traits that set it apart from typical lightsabres. Firstly, it was constructed without the addition of Dimetris Circuitry; meaning that impacting the blade upon pure Cortosis will not result in the weapon's shorting out. Secondly, an Ascendant Module was installed as to allow the weapon a brief opportunity to effectively combat lightsabre-resistant materials.

Outside of these traits, the Second Lightsabre of Darth Metus is a relatively standard weapon with a few tricks up its sleeve.
