  • Need for Speed; The Scythe-class starfighter is not only a large starfighter for its classification, but it is fast. With advanced engines from TaraTari Wartime, the Scythe is capable of excellent speed.
Weaknesses:
  • Defense; Due to the sheer size and a need for armaments and speed, defense was put on the backburner. Defense has been lowered beyond galactic standard to make up for the starfighters speed.
Description:
The Scythe-class Starfighter is a multi-crew state-of-the-art fighter from TaraTari Wartime. After finishing a series of tests it has been commissioned for service and has begun to roll-out across all vessels in the Commonwealth fleet capable of storing a squadron of these. They're designed to become the staple starfighter for the Commonwealth Navy and thus have been placed under Mass Production across all TaraTari manufacturing facilities and shipyards.

The Scythe requires a pilot, co-pilot, navigator and an engineer. During engagements the navigator is tasked with targeting systems while the engineer maintains peak performance within the starfighter to assure no malfunctions. Pilot operates the speed and maneuvers of the vessel as the co-pilot takes the guns.

While the starfighter is immense in size compared to the iconic X-Wing or TIE Fighters, it makes up for it with its sheer speed. Built to be thin and long, it carves a path through space, although its large size means the enemy has a bigger target, albeit they have to catch up to them first.

this is far too big to be moving like this.
its almost a corvette.
i could see speed 3 maneuvering 5 on something this big but thats pushing it. It is just too big. lol.

I get the size is part of the idea and so is speed but its just unbalanced at mass production and for its size.
