Reclamation (Galactic Alliance T1 Dominion of Kaeshana)

Out of hyperspace the massive form of the Barsen’Thor emerged near the planet of Kaeshana.

Supported by much of the Firemane corporate fleet, this ship was coming to reclaim Kaeshana…with the help of the Galactic Alliance. This would also serve as the perfect venue for the handover of the mighty ship. Even Firemane could not properly maintain such a colossus, and so it was being passed to the Alliance in return for their assistance for acquiring Kaeshana.

Kaeshana itself was in a sorry state. Just seven years or so ago the planet was impacted by a massive asteroid which had killed tens of millions and sent the whole planet into a nuclear winter. The other Eldorai, now living on Tygara, had been unable to fully assist until now.

And so rapidly drop pods and transports headed towards the surface to aid the inhabitants in any way they could. Warships moved into orbit to protect the effort and everywhere was the fear that the First Order might well make their move before they could properly consolidate the planet.

Objectives
  • (Major) Humanitarian relief. The civilians on Kaeshana live in fear of marauding gangs, starvation and slavers. Give them help! They are distrustful of outsiders, but if offered benevolently they will thank you.
  • Defeat Raiders. Rogue Sith and other slavers prey on the Eldorai. Defeat these slavers and scum to help give the oppressed some relief.
  • Infrastructure. Companies and factions can set up water purification, power plants and more to help the survivors.
  • Defences. This planet is on the front lines of the conflict between GA and FO. Build strong defences to hold the planet.
  • Bring Your Own. Kaeshana is a wasteland, do whatever you wish to help the people, train, search for lost treasures. If you have any questions feel free to PM myself or Siobhan.

(The OOC situation as devised by [member="Elpsis Elaris"])
Kaeshana was the homeworld of the Eldorai, a race of matriarchal space elves who lived in isolation from the rest of the Galaxy for centuries. Having never been influenced by Jedi or Sith, they developed a unique culture and Force tradition.

During the rise of the Omega Protectorate, Kaeshana joined the galactic conglomerate in return for protection and advanced technology to defend itself from slavers and raiders who often assailed the planet. Queen Anya Venari ushered in an era of liberalisation and progress. It became the HQ of Firemane Industries, after the company was founded by OP's former leaders Tegaea Alcori and Siobhan Kerrigan, and Eldorai soldiers supported the OP on many campaigns.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck shortly after the conclusion of the Netherworld Crisis. Kaeshana was devastated by a massive asteroid, causing natural disasters and throwing the planet into turmoil. The Eldorai and their allies had received forewarning, and Firemane was able to evacuate about three billion of the elves to distant Tygara, where they built a new civilisation. Unfortunately, many were left behind and left to subsist on a ruined planet. All centralised government collapsed, warlords took over in many places and the Forsaken, as they call themselves, resent the outside world for abandoning them. Belief in the old goddesses and the Star Queen has been shattered.

Now, the Galactic Alliance, Firemane and the Eldorai Matriarchy seek to return. It is a humanitarian mission to establish contact with the survivors, establish diplomatic ties to help those who want to leave the planet and aid the remainder.

The Forsaken are resentful and distrustful of outsiders, but at the same time assailed by raiders and pirates who used to serve the Rogue Sith and may be connected to the evil corporation Archangel. It is a chance to heal a broken world and at the same time gain a base for the Alliance.

Since Kaeshana lies in the increasingly small no man's land between the Galactic Alliance and the First Order, there's room to continue the border surveillance plot that's been developed between both factions over the recent dominions, providing room for espionage, skirmishes and so on. Companies use this for tier upgrade by providing humanitarian aid or dealing directly with Firemane (tier 6) or the Tygaran Alliance minor faction.

The New Jedi Order had been sent by Grand Marshal Omai Rhen along with the Jedi Service MedCorps to aid in the humanitarian relief efforts at Kaeshana. Knight Rhen Qel-Droma was among one of many who picked up the cause. Much like the situation in Atrisia, former devastation in the wake of a comet crashing into the world had devastated the world.

His research had indicated that much of the population had already relocated over to Tygara. However, details did state that perhaps there would be natives that had stayed behind. It was his wish to lend a hand and investigate what more the New Jedi Order could do here to help.

The Barsen'thor was a mighty leviathan of war. It was the most powerful warship Firemane had ever built. Now, as per the terms of the bargain, it would be handed over to the Galactic Alliance. In return for their assistance in bringing aid to a goddessforsaken world that had been devastated by a natural disaster.

Lady Siobhan Kerrigan stood aboard the bridge when the warship exited hyperspace and moved towards the ruined planet. Her posture was rigid, almost ramrod straight. Tension was evident. This was a world that had meant much to her.

Her teacher, Adril Tythorin, had been an Eldorai. Anya Venari, her friend, had ruled as queen, securing the planet's allegiance to the Protectorate. This had been Firemane's HQ. Her home. Then the asteroid had razed it.

Three billion people evacuated was no simple feat. The soldier in her knew that sacrifices were inevitable. The Dark Master knew this even more. Still...its loss had hurt. Many, many had perished during the Exodus or been left behind. She had no illusions about being welcomed by the survivors with open arms...but it would be a chance for redemption.

"All teams, deploy. Remember, this is a humanitarian mission. We're here to help, not subjugate. Only fire if fired upon," she spoke through the comms systems, then glanced towards Tegaea.

"I've made calls to [member="HK-36"] and [member="Joza Perl"], asking for aid. The Alliance should be here soon." Once again, her eyes fell upon the devastated planet. "Poor Kaeshana. It was good to us. It's time to give something back...and help those we left behind."

Flight checks ready. A few more toggles of the keys, and then a few beeps of her console.

[ All starfighters please report to your stations. ]

The voice within the carrier echoed in the overhead comms. Several pilots along with their mechanics scrambled across the hanger deck. Within her snubfighter, Lieutenant Commander Choli Vyn prepped for when they would once again appear in real space.

She knew about the planet; Chloe had mentioned it before in one of the stories about her time in the Protectorate. A matriarchal world that had a Goddess. It was a rather interesting culture. Last she knew, they'd already had relocated to Tygara. In fact, Choli had visited the planet during her travels in the Tingal Arm. Now they were set to aid with Kaeshana's remains.

However, it seemed that Raiders. Rogue Sith and other slavers prey on the Eldorai. Defeat these slavers and scum to help give the oppressed some relief. Time to kick some butt.

The Force bloomed within the young pilot. Senses alert.

What would come of it?

Naturally the Eldorai themselves were coming back to their homeworld with the fleets of the Alliance and Firemane. They wanted to help their comrades wherever they could.

Heading down to the surface was a small group of Angelii commanded by the formidable [member="Kaida Taldir"].

Coming along and under the command of the Seraph was the young Host Leader Maeti Varna. She was relatively fresh, assigned after the battles with the Xioquo and other natives, and desperately wanting to please her famous commander.

They would also be providing an LZ for Jedi who would be landing, and then providing the humanitarian shipments from raiders and pirates.

XXX

In space to oppose [member="Choli Vyn"] several pirate frigates and other ships had come up on scopes. They could avoid a capital ship blockade, but would be easier to track down with small mobile forces of Starfighters.

Space was a wink of a flash as the New Jedi Order Vessel blinked into existance. Immediately they had to adjust the amount of asteroids and remnants of the collision that had taken the world before.

There would be a slight rumble and then suddenly, it was gone. Murmurs rose along the massive Praxeon ships. Within their forms would be a few Eldorai natives.

They had spoken of the Kaeshana of the past. Rhen stood quietly and listened to the details.

"Please tell me more about your Goddess." he murmured, wanting to learn more. It was one of the only ways that they'd be able to truly aid the people. At times, their faith would be the bridge to allow others to help.

It time for homecoming. Among the manifold transport ships roaring through Kaeshana's atmosphere was a dropship bearing a unit of Angelii. Not just any unit of Angelii, but the Valora's Chosen, the iron fist of the Eldorai Matriarchy.

They'd fought on many battlefields, battling Reavers, Klaxxi, slavers and, sadly, their own people, for Eldorai seemed to succumb far too often to internecine strife. But today they were returning home.

Kaida's eyes were cold when the transport craft raced down towards the surface. Before them lay what had once been Santaissa. But the old capital lay in ruins. The grand ziggurat, the citadel, the grand cathedral of Ashira...all had been destroyed. She remembered the last days of the exodus all too well. The fighting, the panic, the pleading of desperate Eldorai who begged the last departing soldiers to take them or their children. She remembered gunning down rebels without mercy because it had been the only way to keep a modicrum of order.

It had been for the greater good. The words felt hollow to her. Her jaw tightened slightly. She was a soldier. She knew her duty. She expected scorn, resentment and hatred. She could not fault the Forsaken for that. But it did not matter. She was here to help her people. Nothing else mattered. The dropship landed near the ruins of the old spaceport.

Angelii quickly fanned out with military precision. Naturally Kaida was the first off the ship. "Askari, Vekta, take your companies and secure the landing zone. I want barricades and weapons emplacements set up. Host Leader Varna, you're with me. We shall move further into the city. Contact with raiders is expected. They're to be shot on sight. But no hostilities against our kin."

Revision into real space was a quick affair. the GADF forces warped into existence along the edge of the sector. They did not match the distance of the NJO ships that had arrived earlier, earning some fair distance away from the asteroids.

It was a good thing.

Off in the distance, sensors would pick up massive activity. Those raiders that had been discussed during Intel. It would appear that them motley crew of starfighters would have contact shortly.

[ All starfighters, prepare for deployment. ]

A beep boop came from her back. It was her astromech.

"Yeah well, gotta get our bread and butter one way or another." senses continued to flare through the Force. Since she had been practicing more of what Chloe and Jannik had taught her, she could tell she was getting better with her reflexes.

[ Rogue Leader, this is Rogue Seven. Ready. ]

Facing the Jedi was Selene Tarai, Eldorai Countess and head liaison with the Alliance and others for this operation. She was the most diplomatic of the Eldorai diplomats and had a long career and experience away from her kin and so knew much of the galaxy.

“The Goddess Ashira is our head deity. She created, so they say, the world and the Eldorai. She is the figure of faith for nearly every Eldorai.”

They were coming in to land. It was a terrible, terrible sight and feeling. She had not returned to Kaeshana since the cataclysm. They were passing close to her family’s lands, now all ruined and broken.

“Thank you for your aid in this, Master Jedi,” she said warmly.

XXX

Host Leader Varna followed beside Kaida quickly. They formed barricades and put up listening posts to track potential hostiles.
“Ma’am, we’ve got reports of shots being fired in Sector 16-12. Should we investigate?”

XXX

In space the pirates and slavers obviously noticed the appearance of the GA forces, but did not deviate. They clearly expected and wanted a fight....

Notice of klaxons went blaring within the NJO vessel. They too had picked up on the movements of the distant raiders.

"Sir, the Galactic Alliance Defense Forces have relayed that they would handle the Raiders." a young Jedi Service Explore Corps officer relayed to the captain.

"Good, we have enough of a cover between us and that asteroid belt. Start scans. Let us make sure that there are no other surprises."

Meanwhile, within the ship, Rhen turned his head from the Elderai that he had been quietly discussing with. He had sensed danger through the Force.

“The Goddess Ashira is our head deity. She created, so they say, the world and the Eldorai. She is the figure of faith for nearly every Eldorai.”

He wasn't the only one. Turning back to the young woman, Selene Tarai, Rhen gave a courteous nod.

"I only do what I am able to within the Force, Countess Tarai." he said, his voice a comforting rumble.

"However, it appears we have perhaps come to face the first of many troubling matters that linger.'

"Yes," Kaida said laconically. She sounded a bit more animated than usual. Saddened. She was grateful for the helmet and integrated electronic speaker. The last thing she wanted her battle sisters to see was how deeply the destruction affected her.

The small Angelii unit made their way through the ruins. There was the unmistakeable feeling that they were being watched, but none came to greet them. Soon they heard the sound of gunfire, accompanied by pained screams. Kaida instructed her Angelii to proceed via hand signals.

As they came closer, they could see some skeletal battle droids putting Eldorai under fire. A few warriors were trying to resist the mechanical abominations, seeking cover amongst the wreckage. "Angelii, engage. Varna, take your wing, move through the rubble and flank them." Bolters began to roar, spitting out explosive or ion bolts. Drawing her lightsabre, Kaida deflected shots and called upon her Sciia to freeze some of the droid's weapons or immobilise them with ice.

[ Rogue One, prepare to launch. ] the Flight commander would echo within their helmets. Here we go.

Engines roared, and Choli brought her starfighter up from its pad. It slid into a hover, moving into position towards the line that would prompt them to move to launch.

Beep, beep, boop, hooot!

"Okay, that hadn't been my fault!" Choli defended herself. The droid bristled with another series of hoots.

"How was I supposed to know that the massive tentacle would come out of no where in Atrisia!"

Good thing [member="Allyson Locke"] had been there to cover for her. Otherwise.. well, that would have been her second crash. And she didn't need that in her record.

Since Countess Tarai was there, it was probably no surprise that Elpsis wasn't far. The redhead was Selene's...bodyguard. Well, she also served other functions, but those weren't relevant for the plot.

"Don't think many folks here are keen on saying prayers to Ashira these days," she remarked. "Not after what happened," the redhead trailed off, looking pained. Being an empath, she was very sensitive to others' emotions. All the pain, fear and hatred hit her like a brick wall. There was so much suffering here, like on Atrisia.

She saw an Eldorai child peek out of a ruined building, before quickly looking away and being led away by her mother, who shot the newcomers a look full of hatred. "Can't blame 'em," she sighed. Her hand was close to her bolt pistol.

Allies alliance

Desmond was working with the alliance once more. Albeit this time with ulterior motives. His job was to help the alliance in their efforts to battle rogue elements that had plagued Kaeshana for what seemed like years now. He had recently infiltrated a swoop gang using his past as a cover story. He once more dawned his old swoop jacket and brought out his pod racer.

Now all he had to do was win this last big race and he'd have a meeting with one of the biggest crime lords on the planet. It had taken months of building up the small gang he had "joined" to such prestige, but he had finally done it. It was time to put this mission to bed and end the hierarchy of scum that had wracked the world for so long now.

All the leaders of the vile swoop gangs in one secret location. All silently watching the race and awaiting the winner who would have the honor of meeting them face to face.

Cards Against Humanity
Post One

The game was strip poker. Which was fine since the participants were mostly drunk too. Two male pilots, a nurse from Hemisphere, two Eldorai translators, the wonderful Doctor Kellar, and of course, Saint Monica of New Prosperity. The game was already half way over with one Eldorai woman already slated to win. Both pilots were missing jackets and shirts. The nurse, Cami, was already in her underwear. Doctor Kellar was happily naked and already out of the game. He remained at the table simply to banter and smile at the alien girls nearby. The Eldorai women were, unfortunately, mostly still clothed. Kellar said it was because of the rule changes the women demanded, but who could really say. Karen was topless but still had her pants for dignity. Her girls didn't mind the warm air of the prefab unit anyway. It was hot in here. And not just because of the temperature.

The drinking had started during their first round of card games. Poker was their third, and probably last, game thus far. The longer the humans at the table kept drinking, the worse it had gotten and the dirtier everyone's mind had become anyway. So it was that the night's festivities were almost over.

"Ha!" Gemsha, one of the Eldorai women, smiled as she slapped her cards down on the table, "Two pair. Queen's high. You lose again human!"

"Damn it!" One of the pilot's cursed. She had beaten his hand. "How do you women do it? Jebus!"

Karen laughed as he promptly lost more clothing. Provoking the Eldorai woman to both scoff in disgust at the incompetence of this human man-creature. And, to also cause her to smile at his rocking hard body underneath. Good gravy, I think the poor Eldorai woman was thirsty? Oh my!

"Okay people. Here we go again. Money on the table. Chris, you too. Come on people. Let's go. Night's a'wasting and we've got work in the morning. Chop chop."

...

So the midnight debauchery continued. One hot and sweaty hand of cards, at a time.

The Corellian Green Jedi turned his head over towards the new comer. It was another Eldorai female. Red hair and with a presence to her. Rhen gave an internal tut.

"I believe I do not have the pleasure of introducing myself." He said. The Eldorai beside him gave a smile.

"Jedi Knight Rhen Qel-Droma, of the Jedi Service EduCorps of the New Jedi Order." he began, extending his hand.

At her comment about prayers, Rhen looked intrigued.

"Do they fault the Goddess for the travesty?" he was curious. At times great devastation would either bring a people together under their faith or spread them apart.

Elpsis was not an Eldorai...but she an Eldorai Lady's fangirl! That was almost as good. Anyhow, she glanced towards the Jedi Knight who'd joined them. The redhead had a, how shall we put it, troubled history with Jedi.

But he was helping out, so he was an alright. "Way I hear it, a lot do. They believe Ashira created and watched over them. Then an asteroid toasted their planet and only a fraction were saved. I'd lose faith too," she gave Selene an apologetic look.

"Name's Elpsis Elaris. Order of Fire." That was Firemane's private Force-using arm. She tensed slightly, as if sensing something. "We're being..."

As if on cue, Eldorai militia seemed to stream out of the ruins. These were the Forsaken, the elves who'd been left behind during the Exodus. They looked quite angry and were armed with a variety of weapons, ranging from blades and primitive slugthrowers to bolters. "Stay where you are. Who are you? Have you come to enslave and pillage like the others? Or has the False Queen deigned to send an emissary after abandoning her people," the apparent leader snarled, glowering at Selene.

Nataya Graf's world was crumbling around her. Her father had left the Galactic Alliance to restart the long dead Imperial Remnant, as he had promised so long ago. The young woman dare not follow him, to her he was always her father, but he was now an enemy of everything the Alliance stood for, especially the Jedi. Her intimate thoughts were interrupted as a red blade nearly took her head off, but she ducked just in time, only singing her dark brown hair. Nataya's blue lightsaber countered by returning the swing, only for the saber to nearly be knocked out of her hand by the Rogue Sith she was currently dueling.

This was her first real duel outside of training, she had never actually fought somebody with the Force as her ally and her saber in hand. It felt different from the combat she had been so used to in the academy on Hapes. The woman grimaced as her thoughts kept trailing from the duel, almost always managing to nearly get her killed. She needed to focus damnit, she needed to win this duel.

She needed to live to prove that she was her father's daughter.

They deployed within the next few seconds. A sudden surge of thrust and six starfighters were airborne, spurting out of the carrier hanger into the black velvet of space.

[ Rogues, lock S-foils, we have bogies at our heading. ]

Choli's sensor array bloomed with at least a dozen red pinpoints. Well, at least this was going to be interesting.

Commands were flicked under her deft fingers. Her command of the Force grew, letting the pilot be one with it. She had to use every ability.

S-foils locked into place, moving that familiar X shape as her silhouette. HUD locked over her face, her hazel eyes flaring and excitement pumping out from beyond the yellow tint of her visor.

[ Rogue Seven, ready for some action, over. ]

These were no ordinary bots. They had been designed by Archangel. Firemane had fought the genocidal droid cult before. Supposedly their agenda was to harvest organics and turn them into mechanical abominations.

The robots were armed with blasters, but also bolters and Gorgon web rifles. Fortunately, they'd been expecting helpless prey that could be easily herded, cowed and harvested. Now they faced Angelii.

Kaida fought like a woman possessed. Bolts splashed against her armour. Some were absorbed by her phrik armour, others by her Sciia. The pain did not matter. She carved through the ranks of the machines with her lightsabre, bolt pistol and the power of ice. Blasts of ice erupted from her body, immobilising machines or damaging them when they tried to escape their encasement. She was joined by blasts of lightning and flame from her battle sisters.
