Description:

The PWU-V1, or Personal Wrist Unit fufills several roles These include the following.
  1. Holonet Access - Where reasonable
  2. Comm Unit - Spoken, holo and text
  3. Life Monitor - It's primary reason for creation. Can be linked back to security, personal droids, etc. This largely functions to either summon aid or relay information on physical well-being back to ones allies.
  4. Tracking Beacon - It's secondary reason for creation. A tracking device is included in the PWU-V1 so that aid can be sent directly to the wearer as required. This is encrypted, and would take a skilled slicer to access. The PWU-V1 may glitch and show signs of tampering if accessed remotely.
  5. Distress Beacon - In the event a wearer does not have their own security team, the PWU-V1 can also be programmed to send out a distress signal, either on command or when certain pre-programmed parameters are met.

It is however only a piece of equipment, and does have it's limitations

  1. Cannot Create a Network - If you are on an entirely uninhabited planet with no ship signal to ride off of, you will not have holonet or comm use.
  2. Limited Signal - Again, the PWU-V1 is only a small unit, it's signal cannot cross star systems, at best with nothing to relay it's signal off of, a distress beacon would be picked up by ships passing nearby providing nothing was between them and the signal
  3. Not Tamper Proof - Resistant yes, but not proof. A skilled slicer could in theory access and use it to track a target as well as pull reports on their physical condition
  4. Not armour - It's fairly hardy for what it is, but if it takes a hit from a lightsaber for example, it's so much scrap.
  5. Limited EMP insulation - The holonet and comm unit components are not protected from EMPs.
