Tap.

Tap tap.

Tap tap tap.

An overwhelmingly large shadow grew from one of the alleyways nearest Artemis, with several bone-crunchingly loud "taps" following in it's wake. This would be visible to the girl Artemis, the one who had stolen the fruit and eventually a yellow crystal as well. The shadow spilled out into the streets of Alderaan, echoing a darkness from the alleyway that would send shivers up the spine of any passerby. A cold, freezing wind seemed to sweep in the from the north, one environmentally unsound for this particular area - it was usually quite warm - and continued to send a dread in any citizens who happen to be on that particular street this sunny day. The shadow grew, darkening the opening of the alleyway and eventually the sidewalk nearest to it. Tap tap.

And out of this particular alleyway, accompanied by the supernatural fear of everything that is dark and cold, was but the smallest of hermits carrying his grocery bag in one hand, his walking stick in the other. Tap, tap went the walking stick against the duracrete as the sun emblazoned the shadow and rid the street of the unusual cold breeze. The small, green monk seemed quite old, quite frail... an easy target for anyone wishing to steal or murder, but Alderaan was a peaceful planet. The crime rate in this particular neighborhood was next to nil, and the hermit seemed quite content with walking alone down the streets in broad daylight, as were most who hadn't witnessed the dark chill.

A yellow glint caught the Jedi's eye in the distance, but all he saw was a cart, and...an equally small figure scrambling out from under the cart. His eyebrows quirked and he began to head in the direction of the girl, his walking stick tapping against the ground much faster.

"Separated from your parents, are we?" Teferi called out, trying to sound friendly.

Tap tap tap.

The dreadful sound of that awful walking stick rattling against duracrete followed Artemis like some sort of horror movie. But every time something scary would seemingly appear, instead an old, wrinkly green man would. His eyes, innocent as ever, were wide open in surprise as the girl had run away into this alleyway. Some old kitchen cook subtly threw away his trash in the background, seemingly ruining an epic meeting of characters yet still adding characterization and realism to the backdrop.

Meanwhile, Teferi stood at the entrance of the alleyway and placed both hands upon his walking stick. This time, he did not call out. Not this time.

This time, Artemis would feel an overwhelming emotion, like something she would for a friend, for a loved one. An emotion few people felt in their lifetime - the emotion that crawls over your mind when you look at a person and think to yourself, "They would never harm me." This was not communicated in words, this was not voiced audibly. It was strange, as if there was nothing to say, nothing to interpret other than "They would never harm me."

Teferi stood silently at the opening of the alley, peering into what was seemingly an empty alley.

When the girl tried to fling the box, she would find that it weighed much more than the flimsy cardboard seemed. In fact, it seemed almost immovable. If the girl glanced at the hermit while she tried to run past, she would see him holding out his hand and staring at the inanimate object. As she tried to run past, his walking stick seemed to move beneath her feet in slow motion, attempting to trip the girl.

Regardless if she fell or dodged the walking stick, Teferi's response was the same.

"Room for only one you have in there, I think, hm?"

Teferi shuffled forward, staring intently at the girl. He seemed kind, and fragile, yes - but behind those eyes were years of wisdom, years that perhaps this wild girl could come to see. But it was doubtful she would - she lived in a world where there was only reaction, and she seemingly excelled at it. Teferi leaned in to look and gaze upon her face, though keeping a reasonable distance away. The old green monk didn't seem sorry in the least for tripping her, but quizzically rubbed his chin whilst tapping against the duracrete with his walking stick.

"Jedi."

He answered, touching his chest, choosing his words quickly. Thankfully, this girl didn't seem to him to be a wordsmith, for neither was he.

"Answered I have, now ask you the same question, I will."

Teferi stood there, contemplating the little girl for a moment.

"Run along , you will." He smiled, stepping to the side and urging her to leave with his free hand. "Mistaken you, I have, for someone else."

Teferi pulled some of the fruit out of his pocket that he had pocketed off the girl, munching on it as he continued through the city.

"Hm!" The green monk gleefully delighted in new treats.

Tap, tap, tap went his walking stick yet again, this time heading out of the city as the ancient green imp made his way home. Perhaps he should stop by the caves to pick some shrooms for tonight's dinner...
