Name: Prosperia

Image Source: Star Trek: Into Darkness; Editorial Network Plus. (x), (x), (x)

Classification: Urban Center

Location: Dosuun

Affiliation: First Order

Population: Urban Center

Demographics: 94% Human, 6% assorted aliens

Points of Interest:
Carida Insurance Towers - The three towers are easily seen and dot along the Fortuna River, each tower houses numerous companies ranging from Carida Insurance itself to companies such as Orentho Debt Assistance, the First Imperial Bank, Rojo Ventana Credit Union, the First Order Memorial Fund, First Imperial Retirement & Pension, and many, many others. The unique architectural design of the buildings was done by Elena Naghiri wife of Captain David Naghiri a member of the First Imperial Navy. Elena Naghiri designed the buildings with life in mind, for there is a beginning a middle and an end and each part of that just as glorious as the last.

Reimalai Opera House & Theater - Seen just behind Carida Insurance Tower 2, the Reimalai Opera House was funded by Admiral Fiolette Yvarro in honor of her late sister-in-law Countess Reima Fortan of Heveran. It is said that within the Opera House itself is a commemorative statue of Reima before she married the Admiral’s brother. It captures the essence of the free spirit that Reima had been before her untimely death. Admiral Yvarro commissioned a Galidraan architect Carson Bates to design the opera house.

Old Prosperia Courts - The domed building beside the Opera House was once one of the holy court houses in the city before it grew into the modern metropolis you see today. The old courts have been kept as a historical reminder of Prosperia’s roots. Although it no longer functions as a courthouse, the old Prosperia Courts now serve as municipality for the Mayor and the City Council members along with Prosperia’s City Manager.

Fortuna River and the Wheel of Joy - Off to the left you can spot the Wheel of Joy as it sits overlooking the Fortuna River. The ferris wheel was constructed during the earlier centuries of Prosperia’s existence and has been maintained as a landmark for the last twenty years. It is a hot spot for the romantics of the city and serves to remind everyone that while life may have its lows it also has its highs and that your circumstances can change if you work hard enough. The Wheel was ordered to be built by Ser Barnaby of Pelham County, who constructed it so that his children might have something to behold long after his death.

Mercatura Exchange - Prosperia’s Mercatura Exchange is the Stock Exchange for much of Dosuun although the planet boasts more than just one exchange, this is the most famous of all due to its design and the distance to the capital, Avalonia. The exchange is broken into two towers, the first on the left is the Nundinae where the Mercatura Journal picks thirty of Dosuun’s top stocks, which are calculated using simple mathematical averages, where higher-priced stocks affect the average more than lower priced ones. On the right is Quaestus, where 500 stocks are picked by the Quaestus Board, this has a wider range of sector representation, calculated by giving weights to each stock according to their market value, and regardless of stock price, a percentage change will be reflected on the same index.

Prosperia Transit Center & the Agora -As sky traffic is heavily regulated in Prosperia the transit center has become a focal point. As this is how the majority of visitors come to Propseria. Off to the left you can see the Agora, or the market here select vendors from the surrounding rural areas come to sell their goods, may it be foodstuffs, herbal medicines, handmade hygienic products and other wares.

Description: Prosperia is a the modern city whose beauty and impressive architecture rival that of her sister city Avalonia. The city was built with the more modern in mind, for while Avalonia is a call back to the older days, Prosperia chose a different direction. She was built with the future of the First Order in mind, while still reflecting the values of His Supreme Leadership’s beliefs. Much like Avalonia air traffic or sky traffic is regulated strictly to keep an eye on both pollution and so that all might enjoy the Prosperia skyline. Citizens get around using the beautifully paved streets, underground transit or the monorail that runs throughout the city. Akin to her sister, propaganda speakers, billboards and marquees are placed throughout Prosperia reminding the citizens that loyal citizens are happy citizens.

History: While then Commissioner Natasi Fortan was tasked with creating the capital city of Dosuun, the task of constructing cities beyond the capital were done by bidding from various companies to the upper echleons of the First Order’s military brass, corporate citizens and so on. Admiral Fiolette Yvarro won the bidding to design Prosperia and chose Lauriver Design and Construction as her contractor for the project. With a contractor on board, the Admiral oversaw the plans and overall construction of the city. Every step of construction was approved by Commissioner Fortan’s office on behalf of His Supreme Leadership. As with Avalonia the stronger the Order grew, the stronger Prosperia grew turning itself into the financial capital of Dosuun. It received no dedication ceremony, but currently plays host to the First Order Military Ball. *Note, Prosperia was an older city, Admiral Yvarro with the help of Lauriver Design and Construction revitalized and reconstructed much of the exisiting city into what Prosperia is today.

Intent: To establish the First Order's second city for role-playing purposes.
