Strengths:
  • Protective belly: The Xiphos transports soldiers into battle, the main focus was put on the defence capabilities.
  • Ground and air: The dual purpose main gun is capable of angling its weapon to function as anti-air support as well, its high-velocity high explosive rounds make it decently useful as such.
  • Speaking with fire: The main gun is a fast firing autocannon using a large calibre, mainly of HE rounds, depending on distance they can pierce walls and light armour due to their high velocity. An excellent support for urban territories.
Weaknesses:
  • Bulky: The Xiphos is neither fast nor highly maneuvreable, not a "walking-infantryman´s-tank", but neither a high speed vehicle.
  • Little biter: The main weapon has its uses, but they are limited, especially when it comes to fighting armoured vehicles, the weapon is not designed to pierce heavy armour.
  • Heavy: Due to its heavy armour of Impervium, the Xiphos is heavy, seriously heavy for an IFV and will have issues in low-infrastructure areas to cross rivers and bridges.

The 82nd Regiment is one of the many regiments of the Ultranaut Corps of the Eternal Empire. Formed roughly two years ago, mostly from volunteers of Nelvaan and the original survivors of Krayiss II, just like their commander.
The regiment has a grenadier specialisation, which basically means it is even more speciaslised in what the Ultranauts are already specialised. The emphasis of the unit is on frontal assaults, breaking enemy lines, abusing every bit of cover while laying heavy cover fire with support weapons and light artillery.

The regiment is known to drill when they are not deployed, to train when they are not drilling, to march when they are neither drilling nor training. Strangely the regiment has a high educational level for an ordinary military unit. Not consisting of academics, but soldiers with a good understanding of tactics, logistics and intelligence.

Their commander, Colonel Efried Halbrecht, is taking care of this never sleeping unit. He is tirelessly trying to improve his units performance, but not to the degree that he is utterly exhausting and burn out his men. Supporting eagerness and punishing laziness. The Colonel also established a sort-of tactic school which educates all ranks in basic tactics, to maintain an organic and working command hierarchy even in absolute chaos.

The regiment features a specialised array of equipment. Squads of heavy infantry are supported by platoon-own heavy weapon squads, like grenade launchers, machine guns or repeating blasters, and company-own support weapon squads, like heavy machine guns, mortars, missile launchers and autocannons.
The mechanised battalion additionally features IFVs, APCs and AFVs.
Each battalion has an own medical unit with several surgeons and supporting personnel and is commanded by a major. The regiment consists of four battalions, three heavy infantry and one mechanised, each battalion has six companies each led by captain, which are in return grouped into four platoons led by a lieutenant.

Strengths:
  • Shield: The Sarissa-pattern is strongly armored, being constructed to resist much damage and attacks. The armoring is all-around, with emphasis on the front, but no difference between sides or back. The addition by reactive armor increases the survivability of the crew drastically.
  • Spear: The tank is designed for battles, to deliver heavy, direct fire support where it is needed. Thanks to the possibility to switch shells, the tank can adapt to different situations and enemies easily.

Weaknesses:
  • Slow: The Sarissa does not feature a high speed in terrain, it may be considered a cavalry tank, but it definitely does not has the speed to compete with many repulsor or lighter vehicles.
  • Bulky: The tank is heavy and its maneuvreability is average for its dimensions, slow, but direct.
  • Fat: This main battle tank has the issue that in areas of low infrastructure, it may get issues with crossing rivers and bridges.
DESCRIPTION
The Sarissa-pattern was developed together with the Xiphos-pattern IFV, to create the foundation of the new armoured support arm for the Eternal Army. As part of the Echo-series the models are based on the idea of modularity and sahred components. It is the combined result of a series of developments in technology, industrial capability, infrastructure and military doctrine within the Eternal Empire, who’s experience led to the emergence of a need to develop a series of military vehicles that could share a chassis and most of their components, in order to simplify maintenance and logistics for the relatively large Nelvaanian military, especially during offworld deployments as part of the various Confederate campaigns unfolding across the galaxy.

Shortly after the conflict between the Confederacy and Galatic Empire ended, the military leadership of Nelvaan issued the order for a new design of combat vehicles. The task would take several years before being finished and it was optimised and refined several times to adapt to several circumstances and preferences in design.

The product was the Echo-series. Distancing greatly from previous designs and highlighting the need for simple standards in the military, the patterns developed in this series were absolutely modular with each other. Tracks, engine components, electricity - every part of the tanks were not unique, but present in all tanks. This made field repairs, maintenance and supplies so much easier.

After a string of standard test and trials, for both the chassis, the components and the running gears, the Karavin Concern decided to use a Titanium Frame and using Impervium-334 for the armor plating, as well as going for additional reactive armor to increase the survivability of the crew.

The Sarissa-pattern was developed as cavalry and main battle tank, equipped with a single 125mm gun and three heavy machine guns. The armament proved sufficient for the idea of an all-around combat deployment, equal for infantry support roles, for anti-tank actions and for pressing open assaults. To further its role, the main gun can be loaded with different types of shells to counter different threats.

The emphasis was put on armor and armament though and the speed and maneuvreability was adapted to fit the needs of a reasonable weight and size. Proving to be absolutely sufficient for the roles intended.

[-] Lumbering Beast: This ship has a rather small subspace engine array for it's size, and as most of the power is directed to the large primary thrusters, it's maneuverability is quite poor.

[-] Ticking Bomb: The ship's Zero Point Reactor is a very unstable reactor type. Although it does provide an extraordinary power output necessary for this ship to operate, it's volatile nature is a problem. A direct hit to the reactor will probably blow apart the ship and anything nearby.

Developed by the Eternal Empire's experimental research department under the command of the Manndorf Technocracy, this battlecruiser is intended to be part of Project Storm- a specialised fleet designed to combat large, tightly packed formations of enemy warships.

The ship took 20 years to be brought from the drawing board to the production line, due to the complex nature of it's systems, the many specialised alloys necessary to construct it, as well as the need to test many of it's experimental weapons systems beforehand. However, the ship turned out to be a force to be reckoned with.

With a crew of 67.000 total enlisted personnel, it is a massive command ship that can coordinate entire fleet operations from it's command tower. It's strike fighter complement of 144 ships can be considered small for a carrier, however the ship makes up for this with it's advanced ship rearmament and refuelling bays, allowing it to quickly send it's fighters and bombers back into combat.

The warship is also equipped with groundbreaking technologies that greatly boost it's firepower potential. An exmple of this is it's extremely powerful Type 67 Tachyon Lances. These tachyon cannons fire arcing energy projectiles which can hit ships which a direct shot couldn't ever hope to. This allows the ship to fire past enemy screening ships and hit them where it hurts.

The Storm Class is also equipped with Type 77 Arc Emitters. These weapons were designed specifically to wreak havoc against tight formation, and while they won't do much against a single ship, they can deal massive damage to an enemy in tight formation. The electric arcs emitted by this weapon can "bounce" between any objects that conduct electricity up to 8 times before the arc loses energy. There is however a great downside to such a weapon, as it does not discriminate between friend or foe and will fry an incompatible friendly ship if it gets too close to it's area of effect.

This drawback forced CIS engineers to build the ship utilizing a specialised Durasteel alloy, which was modified to insulate electric currents, meaning that this ship will not attract it's own lightning blasts. This alloy is used on all Project Storm ships to create compatibility between the ships and the weaponry used. A problem with this alloy is the fact that it's molecular bonds have been weakened in order to create it, meaning that this material is far less durable than regular durasteel. However, this is countered by the fact that the Storm Class Carrier will usually not need to engage in close combat with enemies, nd will usually be able to soak up most of the damage it takes with it's shields.

Acting as the flagship of the Project Storm fleet, this is a truly fearsome weapon on the battlefield, and is the Crown Jewel of Manndorf's experimental 3rd fleet.

The Eternal Empire was searching for a ship to fit the role of an anti capital ship starfighter for quite a while. They searched hard, they searched well, and eventually they found an answer. A ship that was fast, hard hitting and durable, a ship that could hold it's own and prove it's worth on the battlefield. That ship was the RX-4 Hornet.

A fine addition to any fleet, this starfighter was designed to punch holes in enemy warships, no matter the size. It's weapons array, consisting of Javelin Torpedoes and Stinger Missiles, allows it to damage critical components of starships. It's powerful thrusters provide getaway options. This starfighter definitely operates well as a hit and run bomber.

The ship is also designed to do well in drawn out battles, as it can hold an additional 4 torpedoes in both it's torpedo magazines. This allows it to deal a lot more damage than a normal bomber should before requiring a resupply, which is also easily doable on any carrier.

All in all, a powerful strike bomber in every respect, this ship is a great answer to the Eternal Empire's lack of strike craft, making sure that that problem stays an issue of the past.

The grenade has a sturdy build that will not falter should it be dropped, however due to the large structure of the grenade it can be difficult to carry more than a few into combat
