It really depends, but usually when I'm writing Kaine fighting I listen to very heavy and brutal metal music to channel the psychopathic Sith Lord inside me.

Either I go through the "What Are You Listening To" thread (and listen to every song, whether or not I like it, because reasons), I put on my 'liked videos' playlist on YouTube (which is 98% songs, 2% other stuff I skip), or I grab a song I really like/have been inspired by before and put it on repeat. For six hours. Or however long I'm writing. I've listened to the same song on repeat for roughly 4-5 days before. Sure, it wasn't really continuous because I took breaks, but it was the only music I listened to.

I have 3000 or so songs on Spotify that I have put together to make a massive playlist I call "favorites", but if I have to go down to genre and stuff, I'd say it really depends on the mood. Punk Rock, Alternative, Metal, Nu Metal, Hip Hop, could be really anything. Most listened to bands on there, though, are probably Disturbed, Switchfoot, and Thousand Foot Krutch, but that still varies day to day.
