Description: The Borurr-class fast attack frigate, at 250 metres, is the largest capital ship fielded by the insular, subterranean, human civilization of the Pimbrellan League. The Borurr was originally designed to repel the unshielded raiders who had specialized their ships to face the shield-breaching Qektoth. Therefore, the Borurr was fitted with no capital weapons apart from beam emplacements that did negligible damage to shields but could carve unshielded ships apart. In the modern era, the Borurr-class frigates have also been outfitted with Iron Crown Raptor ACES shieldcutters.

The mission profile of the Borurr-class frigate is to approach a larger enemy at very high velocity, using its maneuverability to stay ahead of the majority of large-weapons fire. Once the Borurr reaches close engagement range, it begins rapid maneuvers around the enemy ship. Raptor ACES shieldcutters whittle down enemy defenses, at which point the unique Pimbrellan beam weapons carve long breaches through the hull. Obviously this tactic doesn't work out so well against enemies who have company. In ORC fleet engagements, Borurrs often play a skirmishing or escort role.
