Philosophy of the Rule of One

~The Rule of One~
The Rule of One was constructed by the progenitor of the One Sith himself, Darth Krayt, over eight hundred years ago on the ancient Sith tombworld of Korriban after accurately perceiving the gross shortcomings of Darth Bane's Rule of Two which had been established a millennium earlier. In Darth Bane's Rule of Two there could only be two Sith at any given time; a master and an apprentice, one to embody the power of the Dark Side, and the other to crave it. In Krayt's Rule of One there would only be the Sith Order itself, under which there would be many minions, acolytes, knights, and lords with only one Dark Lord of the Sith to guide them. Krayt perceived that his new order gave the Sith and their power a purpose, unlike the previous ideology where it was believed that power was a purpose onto itself.

Under Krayt's rule the Sith were taught blind obedience and absolute loyalty to the Dark Lord of the Sith, although in modern times that loyalty had been redirected to the Sith Order itself rather than its leader who was perceived as more of a guide. This was to circumvent the plotting and infighting of previous Sith organizations, the fatal flaw in the Sith's attempts to rule the galaxy. The One Sith also mirrored in the Jedi in that, while they continued to rely on passion, hatred, and aggression, they did not seek power for themselves alone, but to serve the will of the Order and impose order and the Dark Side of the Force on the galaxy by any means necessary.

As of recently the One Sith were led by an all-powerful and all-respected Voss Dark Lord of the Sith who controlled the Sith with absolute authority. However; several assassination attempts drained him of the seemingly unwavering power he wielded years earlier finally culminating in his total destruction during the Coruscant Uprising twelve years after the Sith returned to the galaxy. With an Empire fractured and disorganized there arose a council of powerful Sith Lords and Imperials who sought to reimpose order to the Empire and continue on the path to galactic dominance while simultaneously adhering to the tenets of the Rule of One prior to the Uprising.

The One Sith are united through a common goal, the total subjugation of the galaxy through military might and rigid Imperialistic order, but only the strongest individuals can carry out this goal.
