Peace is a lie, there is only Passion, Part 1

Darth Ares, a sith born into and raised to know war was becoming more today. Today he met with his Apprentice that would become a Warrior one day. She was young and green, he wondered if she had even seen death yet. Under Darth Ares' leadership she would see death and if she did not become stronger she would see her own death. Darth Ares was not a brute who only knew how to kill and cause pain, he was a Sith who found purpose through the code, " Peace is a lie, there is only passion." Today she would be learning this fact and by the day she became a Warrior she would know the code by heart and live it. Darth Ares looked about the scared landscape that was filled with the after math of war, this was as good as any place to show her the lie and she would learn passion through putting her first lightsaber into first kill. She would learn darkness, Ares was born n it and she would feel a rebirth into it before his time with her was done.

The cloaked figure of a young woman stood in front of [member="Darth Ares"], her head lowered but hidden under a black hood she soon removed, without lifting her head. She did not speak, not until her Master spoke first. Darkness was strong within her but she still had much to learn, a hard path to walk if she wanted to become a true Sith and she would become a true Sith or die trying. Nevertheless, one could see it was not only the desire for power that guided her actions, her one wish was to embrace the Darkness, to be completely filled by it, to form a part of it instead of just overpowering foes through its will. The Dathomirian stood silent, cold, awaiting for what would be the first lesson that would either the realization of every single wish she held or the end of her short life. Angelus knew that it would be harsh, that she would be destroyed many times in many ways but it was under her own will, this way was the only way of becoming a true Sith and she wouldn't fail her Master.

Darth ares watched as she arrived and was at least glad she wasn't half naked like most female siths, but wore a black robe similar to him. "Look out into the field and tell me what you see." It was a field where Jedi and Sith had fought and lost their lives. Darth Ares waited for her response and then answered it himself. " peace is a lie, there is only passion. Jedi cling to this idea of peace, yet they are just as much wanting war as we are. They claim to be high and noble, but they bring distruction just as much as we do. So peace is a lie, but passion is not. Today we will go get your first lightsaber, correction, you will get it." Darth Ares turned away from her and began walking in silence expecting her to follow. They walked for a few miles until they arrived at a tomb. "Inside are many creatures that feed off the dark side and one great creature known as a Terentatek. Take this vibro blade and carve your way through to the lightsaber of the old Sith Lord or die trying." Darth Area handed her a vibro blade from his back that was not a cheap or common one, but it wouldn't make this easier on her. "Bring me back the lightsaber and a tisk from the Terentatek, watch our for the poisin on its tusks and claws."

Peace is a lie, there is only passion...It was as though those words, the first line of the code she would follow until life abandoned her, were burnt into the back of her mind and carved into her heart to always remember and worship, for without passion nothing could be achieved. The young Dathomirian followed her Master in silence, her head low and her pace matching the speed of the one of [member="Darth Ares"]. There was no doubt in her, no hesitation as she was told what creatures would await her inside the cave where her objective laid, for she knew the Dark-side of the Force would keep her and that passion would make her stronger. Her pale hand took the vibroblade, her arms getting accustomed almost instantly to its weight as she remembered its length and even its curvature. Knowing one's weapon was crucial, if not acknowledge the thing that was supposed to aid in combat could easily become a dangerous disadvantage, for just one mistake, one wrongly calculated strike could be the reason for one's death. This analysis of the blade did not took her more than some seconds, before her serious voice that lacked everything but a dormant anger that could be waken up whenever she desired for it to manifest answered the Darth's words "As you wish, Master" And with those words the Dathomirian walked into the cave, disappearing steps later in the obscure atmosphere that she found exhilarating. Although her eyes couldn't see she could still hear and she used the Force in order to sense any living thing that approached her. Her objective was set in the Terentatek, she knew about the creature. A beast around three meters tall with a liking of Force-enriched meat and blood, a beast that dwelled in places where Darkness reigned. She would first destroy anything that stood between her and the beast and then she would kill the creature and find the saber. She remembered that the Terentatek was resistant to the Force and that they had a reputation as killers. Nevertheless, this did not discourage her but much on the contrary, it made a feeling of adrenaline and anticipation run through her body...the urge to kill.

Darth Ares let a smile creep across his face once his Apprentice was gone. He was right in believing she had what it took to be a true sith. Though he sensed over confidence in her which would bring about pain for her, but even he had to learn that lesson when he was her age and even now he struggled with it.

As she entered, torches came alight with purple and black flames that must have been by sith magic. Deep in the tomb rumbling could be heard as the beast could smell her, but stayed in his chamber as the dark side was very strong in there. As she entered the first room she would fine 4 his diss fighting over a long dead corpse and dart flowers spread though out the room. The flowers would not move, but shoot poisoned darts at her when she neared them.

[member="Eikrie Daom"]

The Acolyte walked through the cave, still relying on her Force-sensitivity more than in her eyes. Meters before entering the first chamber she could feel the living beings that awaited inside. Angelus was capable of recognizing the dart flowers, so she was now alerted of the poisonous needle-like projectiles that would soon be cutting through the air in an attempt of sinking in her pale flesh but she could not tell exactly what the bigger creatures where, just that they were four and that they where feeding...something she would use in her advantage.

Beast tended to be more aggressive when feeding, for they would defend their source of aliment from whatever they considered threats and even so, they were more vulnerable since they where too busy fighting each other or to concentrated in eating that they would not expect a sudden attack from a being that they would not even expect to see in the depths of the cave for a start. Once her plan was made, Angelus got on the move...a very, very fast move. She ran into the chamber running near some of the flowers and jumped into the air, avoiding the first poisonous darts with the jump as her body moved making the ones that had been shot later miss their target also. As she fell, the Dathomirian made the weapon that had been given to her by her Master spin in her hand, the blade of the weapon being now beside the outer part of her forearm as it cut into one of the Hississ' neck. Her feet where back on the ground as she turned to face the other three creatures, for the throat of the first one had been cut open and now laid dying in the ground. Her yellow eyes met that of the creatures as the red liquid slid down the blade of the vibrosword, falling to the ground in tiny drops. She knew that the remaining three would not be as easy to kill as the first one, for now they where more than alerted of her presence. She would also have to stay away from the flowers, avoiding darts was not as simple when there was an animal trying to kill you. Angelus felt how the angered started to unleash within her, how darkness started to overcome her as she greeted it with pleasure.

The Hississ were angered that their meal was interrupted, but fortunate that now they had two meals, but one had to be killed. The dark lizards all came at her at once baring down on her like komono dragons on crack. This awakened robot guards that were old, bt their blasters still worked. As they stepped out of their spot they lined up their blasters and opened fire on the intrutor.

At the surface, Darth Ares stood, still hearing the sound of fightning which meant she was still alive and then he heard the sounds of blasters shooting off. This brough joy to Darth Ares heart as he remembered that surprise which seemed to be common in sith tombs. He wasn't so lucky when he was younger and received a wound to his back due to the surprise fire, but would she be more aware of her surroundings then he was?

[member="Eikrie Daom"]

She was skillfully fending off the Hississ when she sensed approaching fire. She growled slightly, her anger growing by every passing second in a slow pace but in a strong way. The Acolyte had fast reactions and she made one of the Hississ move to the right, avoiding her blade but getting shot by one of the robot guards, might as well take some advantage.

One of the enormous lizard-like creatures jumped at her as the other one slashed at her leg. She was fast enough to avoid the slash, moving her leg near her but there was nothing she could do to avoid the heavy body of the other one falling over her. One of its claws had scratched the skin over her right collarbone, the pain great not only for the fact that the claw was still pressed against the wound but because of the venom the Hississ had. Her eyes shot open, glittering with anger as she kicked the creature aiding her legs with the Force being able to lift its body and use it as a shield for the poisonous darts and blaster fire that was aimed at her, the creature let out an agonizing screech as the Dathomirian quickly stood up, ignoring the pain as she ran towards the last Hississ, jumping in the last second as she avoided an attack. She brought the vibrosword down with immense strength, cutting through the creature's neck, beheading it. She then dodged darts and blaster fire until she entered the tunnel that would lead her deeper into the cave. Angelus sensed her surroundings making sure nothing was near and once she was sure she looked at her wound and hissed with anger before ignoring the pain again and reassuming her pace as she kept repeating herself, Peace is a lie, there is only passion.

[member="Darth Ares"]

The claws of the Hssiss had a poison only known as dark side poison. Luckily for Angelus, she was deep in the dark side which bought her time until she would succumb to it's deadly power. As she reached the end of the hall stood three doors. All the same colour which was just a shade darker than the rest of the tomb. One door was the right door that led into the tomb and the other two led to something dark and unspeakable. All doors had a puzzle:

Right Door: This door was nicer then the other two doors and suggested meditation and refelection would open it:
Peace

Center Door: This door was covered in blood that seemed to convolge on to one hole that looked beg enough for a hand to fit into:
Fear

Left Door: Seemed to be cracked and was in worst shape, but suggested the only way to open it was to break it and it require a strong force power or physical strength to open it.
Power

[member="Eikrie Daom"]

The Sith Acolyte walked, her steps firm and precise. It was a matter of minutes until the passage came to an end and she was standing in front of three doors. What she did came naturally to her, she closed her eyes for some seconds and exhaled through her nose, ridding herself of any air, letting the embracing darkness flow through her body, soul and mind. She opened her eyes, looking at the right door with pure hatred and the next moment her body turned completely with high speed as she charged towards the left door and threw a force-induced punch that shattered the door into pieces, hurting her hand a little in the process. She was fully consumed by anger now, the incredible amount of rage could even be felt, sensed, for it surpassed her physical form and transcended into the area around her. She desired power, the power of destroying the Jedi, the power for bringing order under the will of Darkness, the power she needed in order to fulfill a promise...revenge.

[member="Darth Ares"]

She had chosen wrong due to running into the war she would quickly find herself falling into a pit. The darkness was then taken away by sith magic torches and she was in a pit with 6 Devourers. These Devourers had not eaten in a long time so Angelus was looking extremely good. Sith seek power so of course she chose that, but he wasn't teaching her power yet. In order to gain passion you had to conquer fear. She was lucky though, he heard a rumor that if she chose peace it wouldn't open and would drop her into water with a Sea Leviathan in it which even he would have trouble with it.

[member="Eikrie Daom"]

It was then, when she saw the six devourers that looked hungrily at her, that she understood she had made a mistake. She had misunderstood the puzzle. The answer was not what she desired, but what she had to conquer in order to achieve what she desired. She felt angry at herself, for failing the puzzle but quickly returned her focus to the task at hand, survive to the attack of six devourers. She didn't stand up completley, standing with her knees bent in a manner that kept her body near the ground as the blade was in a defensive pose in front of her. She growled, turning the anger towards herself in simple anger she would use to stay alive and slay the creatures, she would not fail or she would die.

[member="Darth Ares"]

The Devourers looked at her with hungry eyes. They worked more as a pack then the Hssiss did, the encircled her and this revealed what they had last eaten. It was only broken bones now, but there was a faint glow of light on metal to reveal that a lightsaber of some kind was in the pit as well. Then Devourers then they all attacked her at once.

Darth Ares still stood at the entrance as his comms beeped for an incoming call. A woman spoke from his comms, "Darth Ares, we have a new apprentice to join you as you requested, we have given him your coordinates and he could arrive within the hour." Ares did not answer the woman and merely hung up. Sith joining the One Sith it had been training and more training with little war, but sometimes even a warrior had to be a teacher.

Oh how these little sheep thought that they could tame and sire any one of these beings in the galaxy. The Sith were a race of war-like and power hungry people, similar to very many other cultures in this universe. Be that as it may, even the most chaotic of beings were attracted to the power and gifts granted by this newly founded Empire. Of course it wasn't the first empire to bear the name of the Sith.

Adorned in a black button-up shirt and a pair of similarly colored trousers, the young man raised a hand to draw flecks of hair away from his eyes. "I have no need for coordinates. I am already here." It was rather pathetic, actually, that these so-called Sith couldn't even bother to encrypt their transmissions. Aiker lowered the comlink, shutting it off and dialing off the public channel. With a sigh, the hopeful entered the caverns in pursuit of the others who had entered. Some Darth Ares was waiting for him. Whoever he was, his namesake was the absolute epitome of originality.

"Just you wait, little ones." His low voice shook with anticipated pleasure. "I'll be there soon."

Darth Ares was not near the entrance in fact he was a distance from it leaning against a rock. He watched as a guy dressed like a civilian walked by like he thought highly of himself and then enter the temple announcing he would find them. Ares lifted an eyebrow at this sight. He wondered what could make a kid so cocky when he couldn't even sense a knight standing in plain sight. Darth Ares considered letting him continue in and get himself killed, but his other apprentice was valuable and was training in there. Ares arms were crossed, but he moved one slightly out and used the force to snap a hanging structure on the cave enterence to fall at the boy. Ares then waited. Surely the boy would notice the master. If not, he'd kill him and rid the world of the weakling. It was true that most Sith were angry or war-like, but that was the beginning markings of a drew Sith and if he did not have that in him, why let him live? The strong kill the weak, that is the aith way.

Of course he noticed the man waiting for him. Aiker didn't exactly know if this was his master or not and didn't really care either way. He was simply someone set in the galaxy tasked with training him to be a asset of war, and he presumed the Sith Knight didn't care for him either. It was a win-win situation. Although the two were aware of each other's presence, Aiker didn't show it in the slightest. He continued his little trek into the dark cavern as if he were some frightened boy on a field trip.

Show me power. He thought. Show me what I can achieve.

As if on cue, a support pillar above him crackled with tension before an eruption of dust and tiny rocks dropped down onto him. Shooting a crimson glance upwards, the young man merely moved out of the way by just running. A glimmer of mirth sparkled in his eyes and the faintest of smiles was set upon his lips. Whoever this guy was, probably a Darth Ares, didn't exactly enjoy trainees.

Instead of calling out to Darth Ares, the young Dark Jedi simply reached into the folds of his shirt before producing a holdout weapon. With practiced precision and determination, Aiker brought the weapon up and leveled it out, aiming right at the Sith Knight. Once he felt a twinge in the Force telling him he was ready, he squeezed the trigger.

[member="Darth Ares"], [member="Eikrie Daom"]

Darth Ares lowered his ear in embarrassment at the weapon drawn on him. He had never used the weapon because of it's downfall. It was a weak weapon that was more problems then it was worth. It could pierce armor, but it was only accurate at close range and Ares was not at close range. He was a good 50 meters away which was about medium range. Darth Ares continued leaning against the rock as the shot was fired. Clearly he could listen to the force because the shot was more accurate then he expected and hit a foot away from the unmoving Ares' head. Ares use his elbows to push off from the rocks and slowly approached the student. "After such a shot I am sure your hand must be killing you about now. First lesson, don't Fire a close range weapon on your master. Second lesson, don't enter a cave where someone is already training unless I give you that permission." Ares was now only 8 meters away and even though he was 6 feet tall, his features did not strike fear into people, but sometimes even the most unassuming people can be the more dangerous ones. Ares turned away from him and began walkin away. "Well come on." Ares walked back to the rock, but passed it and walked toward townskater he cliff side that stood out over looking an old battlefield with explosion burns still on the rocks and charred remains still seeded everywhere. "What do you see?"

[member="Darth Ares"]

Aiker's smile didn't fade in the slightest, even as his aim was off, on purpose. He'd been trained as an assassin - a weapon's specialist - since birth. The weapon's drawbacks were the primary reason for his ownership of it. Single shot, short range, but a lethal round that could bring down a Mandalorian commando if it struck. Aiker had half expected this so-called Sith Knight to immediately unleash the furies of the Force upon his new apprentice, yet he had not. Aiker was pleased.

Still clutching the little pistol, the Dark Jedi gave the weapon a look of thanks before lazily tossing it backwards deeper into the cave. These "lessons" were common sense ones, but ones that the Sith had probably been instructed to teach.

"I didn't have permission to enter?" Aiker snorted. "Last I heard over that unsecure comlink channel, you requested for my presence." It was true. So much for having an observant and wise mentor. He caught himself before he could make any more worthless assumptions. The man didn't make another move to harm him when he'd fired upon him, so at least he had self-control and enough common sense to not waste a life.

As for the vision of the battlefield, Aiker didn't really care for it. As for his few hirings as a mercenary, he'd seen more than enough chaotic bloodshed dealt by brutes in armor and machine-gun toting bulletsponges. Organized war was such a pity and didn't require skill whatsoever. A lone sniper two miles away with perfect weather conditions could end a war faster than year-long campaigns into the unknown.

"I've seen worse." He admitted, not wanting to put forth another smart remark along the lines of: I see a moron lucky that I didn't bring a Verpine.
