Description: The Omega-Series AI was designed as part of a top secret project. However, Ayden recognized their usefulness elsewhere and commissioned the construction of three more for a total of six. Rather than a barrage of code shot at metaphysical wall until it stuck, the Omega-Series is designed by scanning the neural pathways of a target brain and replicating them in digital form. This process destroys the brain tissue, and requires an active brain. This issue was solved as Ayden donated several clones for the testing and refinement of the procedure. Ayden's work with containing and examining the Red Queen was invaluable here. Once it was refined, the process was carried out with the willing participation of six of the brightest minds that were a part of the project, each with an incurable terminal illness.

The benefits of a 'smart' AI are numerous, many of which hold true for droids in general. They can perform calculations and data searches several orders of magnitude beyond an organic brain and have an objective outlook that is far beyond that of a normal organic. They can learn new information at a near-instantaneous speed. This makes them excellent mission planners and extremely proficient in whichever field they occupy. Endlessly adaptable, it only takes a few seconds for the AI to adapt to new sensor data and choose an optimal course of action.

There are, of course, downsides to the Omega-series. For starters, their functional life-span is currently an unknown. They could operate flawlessly for a century or might break down after only a month of use. However, the best guesses place the timeframe at about five years of operation. At that point, the neural mapping that created the AI is projected to begin breaking down. It's currently unknown if this degradation is repairable but is currently expected to be terminal for the AI. As well, the AI's exact behavior is subject to scrutiny. With no transmitters in the storage chip, the AI is only capable of interacting with outside objects when plugged into some sort of hardware, like a computer terminal or suit. Thus, if the AI's data chip is yanked and locked away in a simple box, the AI can do nothing but think. The effect of this is unknown, but expected to be devastating and destructive to the AI.

Each AI chooses its own appearance and projected voice and has complete control over them.
