Strengths:

Mutlirole - The Mk 1 can fill many simple infantry roles. Though they are just simple combat models and require Biologic commanders. But for the grunt work, and heavy weapons, they fill the roles perfectly.

Morale - Due to them being a droid, them falling would not weigh on the allied forces nearby. They will not suffer from morale damage when these droids fall.

Weaknesses:

Simple Brain - They are grunts for the Military, they can not serve in command roles, they are only able to be grunts, and obey simple commands.

Logical - Without the ability of complex thought, they obey orders without question. This can lead to many complications with them being activated. Thus the commanders has special rules set in place to be able to call them into service.

Description: Just a simple first go at droid armies for the Onderonian military, the Mk. 1 is a simple grunt type of Droid. This make it impossible to be placed in command roles in the military, and makes it great for front line troops. With this simple process as well it makes them not question their orders at all, and must have biological interaction in the field to continue to give them updates, or this can lead to "Accidents." The basic Mk.1 is made out of durasteel and plastoid, making it blaster resistant, but this leaves it wide open to other forms of attack. This again serves the military for their need as it stands, but if the enemies of Onderon were to know this weakness more specialized droids would be needed to fill the massive weakness in the Mk.1's design.
