Let no joyful voice be heard! Let no man look up at the sky with hope, and let this day be cursed by we who ready to wake... THE KRAKEN!
Men and women of the line, prepare cannons! (Again, there aren't actual ball cannons) This will be the OOC thread for the Fleeting portion of the Invasion of Mustafar Hex by the First Order. I would like to gauge interest in fleeting (And Boarding) in this thread so if you guys could post "FLEETER" or "BOARDER" on the top of your post here, we can get an accurate count and further define fleet/ship restrictions etc.

This will serve as the OOC thread for the Fleeting thread, there is a separate OOC thread for the Ground Pounders (found here).
IC THREAD: HERE

Note: Please keep all banter and posturing to a healthy moderate level - don't make board staff get involved, we all want to have fun so let's do that without creating extra drama! As per usual, if during the course of the writing you come across a snag and you're unhappy with the way someone responded (Or didn't) to your post, shoot them a PM and politely ask them if they'd be willing to make edits, 9/10 they are willing to do so if it's appropriate! If you've sent a PM and tried to resolve the issue with the other writer directly and are still unhappy, please reach out to your faction admins or faction owners and we can further look into the issue and see that an equitable compromise is made. The report button should be a last resort.

If anyone has any question about the thread, here would be an appropriate place to ask - thanks for participating and have fun!

P.S. If anyone is wondering what the idea for this was - it's here: LINK

Fleet Engagement Zone (Thread 1)

  1. Asmeru | Asmeru Anomaly: A gravitic anomaly just outside the immediate area creates a large swirling area in space, a maelstrom effect causing ships to be pulled ever closer in a swirling pattern if they wander too close. This will be the site of the Major Fleet action between fleeters. If you need a visual clue to what we hope to happen, complete with boarding - see here. There will also be a small derelict station just outside the gravitational pull of the anomaly. Unarmed and in varying states of decay, some of the station is pressurized yet, others are not - if the generators were to come online - it is possible that a higher level of life support may be achieved. The model of the station is the following - Doaba Class Defense Station

After discussion with folks on both sides, it is my avowed intention to write a scientific mission that happens to be in the area and gets caught up in the mess. I'm thinking mainly non-combat ships (like my Laureate science vessels), and toothless sorta-combat things like the Jamillia and the Jinn. Maybe a couple of light escorts, but nothing especially serious. Those proportions hold true regardless of the eventual meterage restrictions that you guys select. I'm looking forward to seeing if I can make a contribution regardless of the disadvantage. Ought to be fun.

Whatever happened to "First, do no harm"?
The Atrisia rebellion showed us that Therapy Command is called as such because of its medvac unit.

Now, given the ground terms, for this invasion, the medvac unit is to be considered background noise on the ground theaters; GA players may feel free to use Therapy Command's medvac unit if it somehow serves some storyline purpose.

In the rebellion the stated objective of the therapy command was to destroy Cyrus and his ship, and to inflict severe emotional trauma on the First Order's forces. Makes me wonder if there is a Galactic medical licensing board that should be consulted here :p

I'll be there with a few ships, we don't have as many big ships as the FO, but we should have enough to make it fun.

Also [member="Rolf Amsel"] - [member="Natasi Fortan"] has fleet details like size and composition been worked out?

As of yet, there is not - however we are working out the details based on the number of people interested as we'd like to keep this a relatively small encounter (In the sense that 18k fleets per writer seems a bit overkill). The current idea that seems to be taking hold is a class cap, i.e. 2 SD's per faction, 4 cruisers, something like that or each writer is allowed 1 "Flagship" (Not in Chaos terms but one main vessel) and a few support vessels for a max meterage of X. But I will update this topic to reflect that as the details are cemented.

If things are still in flux, lemme toss out an unpopular opinion here: I would LOVE it if things were restricted to something like 1500m/writer. Blame it on the gravitational distortions or something.

Fleeter - First Order (Imperial Remnant Support)

I think I make up all of the IR Fleeter help, but I haven't gotten full confirmation from my faction.

FLEETER -

The 52nd System Force stands ready to fight against the Alliance scourge. The Imperial Remnant made a mistake at Kaeshana, but we will make up the best we can with the First Order.
