Description: Noah's Custom Close Quarters Combat Rifle orignally started out as a idea for a CQCR he was developing for the Republic Special Forces Division during his days as a commando. The order that the RSFD put in was for a lightweight and compact slugthrower able to be suppressed and fire specialty rounds, Noah acheieved this goal in spades. The official designation given to it by the RSFD was the Mk 9 Mod 0 SBR (Short Barreled Rifle), though many came to know it as the Nine to many of it's users. While Noah did deliver on his promise with the rifle the problem was the cost of the rifle. While most slugthrowers go for cheap, 200 credits being a ballpark for a good rifle, Noah's Mk 9 was a full fifty times more than that at a whopping 10,000 credits. This barred it from becoming mainstream with the RSFD, though other SF units in the Republic bought into it like the Republic Naval Commandos and mulitple Republic intel agencies. Noah forgot about the project until recently when he found that his custom AR-35 he usually used was inadequate for urban warfare that he seemed to be getting more and more involved with. When Coruscant was liberated Noah was in charge of securing weapon stockpiles, both One Sith and Republic left overs, that could benefit the Alliance. A particular site of interest was a stockpile of Naval Commando weapons that many of which Noah had designed, so he only saw fit to appropriate some of the spoils of war to himself.
