  • Intent: To create a connection to the past, that will be the start of many Force Artifacts I will be making for Sirius Nova.

  • Canon Link: If needed

  • Restricted Missions: If Required I will do some

  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION

  • Name: The Nexus Rings

  • Manufacturer: An old Narrikian on Setus Prime. (Will submit in Codex if need be.)

  • Affiliation: Sirius Nova

  • Modularity: No

  • Production: Semi Unique (20)

  • Material: The ring itself is made out of Narika, while it has a lot of Narrikian Force Runes etched onto the ring, runes that are older than what most Narrikians are familiar with. The Narika has been alchemically treated, as well. This uses a Durindfire Crystal.

  • Strengths:
Battery: The Nexus Rings that are worn by Sirius Nova act as "Batteries" and soak up the Force Energy that is ambient in the air around him, as well as leaked emissions by Jedi or Sith alike. What this means is that as long as he is wearing the rings, he is not solely reliant on his own energy to use powerful force techniques, or cast spells using the Force.

Energy Based Attacks give more power: When energy based attacks such as Electric Judgment, Force Lightning and other such variations are used against the rings, they absorb them and convert them quickly into energy. In other words, blasting someone wearing one of these with Lightning, or similar? Not the wisest decision.

Able to be Used: The Force Energies stored inside the ring, are cleansed of the taint of darkness, or the power of Light, and converted to a neutral Force Energy, giving a person a larger amount of Force Energy to draw upon. While they couldn’t say pull a Star Destroyer from orbit? The rings could help out in making battling an FU whose flinging a building at you a bit easier to survive.

Enchanted: The Ring has been heavily enchanted with the Force, made to be able to withstand the test of time. As a result of this, the ring is invulnerable to the decay caused by time.

Retaliation: The rings are programmed with a “Retalation” ability if the wielder is being choked by the Force, or in too much pain due to a Force related attack, that they will discharge a silver blast of energy, burning through their entire reserves to release the blast at the individual causing the pain to the wearer. Typically packs the power of a blaster rifle bolt, but can be amped up even further if more energy is poured into the ring.

.

Weaknesses:

- Old: The ring is old, and the secrets that were used to create more of the ring have been for now, lost to time. As a result, the ring if all 4 were destroyed would be difficult for the Narrikians to replace.

- Vulnerable to Corruption: Corruption via the Dark Side of the Force is indeed possible for the ring, meaning that the wielder would have to be careful when fighting a Dark Side User.

- Force Nullification: Items such as Ylasmari, or other things that could nullify the Force would render the abilities of the ring useless until such time as the ring was removed from their effective range.

-Cleansing the Ring: While it is true that the ring was made using neutral techniques of Alchemy that have been lost, Force Light could probably destroy the enchantments on the ring, and cause it to crumble to dust.

-Physical Damage: While the ring is perfectly capable of shrugging off Force Lightning, Telekinesis, and many other energy based Force Attacks, what it is vulnerable to is physical damage. Six strikes of a Lightsaber, or a well placed blaster bolt at low power could destroy the ring.

-Damaging the Runes: If the runes of the ring were damaged, the ring would become a useless bauble.

-Reactive: The rings are not actively defending the wielder, but reactive. At the second Force Lightning, or a similar power is employed to harm the wearer of the ring, their properties kick in. In addition, if Force Telekinesis, such as Force Choke or similar were used, the properties of the ring would kick in. One way to avoid this, is to attack indirectly and not target the wearer, but the environment AROUND them.

DESCRIPTION
Crafted before the Gulag Plague struck the Narrikian World of Setus Prime, the Nexus Ring is one of the oldest Force Relics that was made by the Narrikians. Created by a Narrikian whose name was lost to time, the Nexus Ring was made so that it could act as a "battery" for the Force, and soak up Force Energy in the air, and convert it into a neutral form that either a Lightsided individual could use, or a dark sided individual could use, or one that didn't pick a side could use. There was more to the ring than that, however. It was also capable of absorbing energy based Force Attacks, and converting them into more power in the short term. In other words, say someone wanted to shoot a wearer of this with Force Lightning. They could do so for three hours, and it wouldn't have any effect other than cheesing off the individual and giving them more power that they could hurl right back.

The ones who crafted the ring wanted to make it more than capable of also retaliating against the individuals they fought, so they created another feature. The ring was modified so that it could discharge the Force Energy it collected as blasts of concussive force at an enemy that oddly enough had a silverish tint to them.

When the Gulag Plague hit, the rings were lost and thought to be destroyed. Only recently discovered in an older part of an older palace, the Nexus Rings were brought to Sirius Nova and given to him. Since then he has been wearing one of the rings, while looking for someone to study, and recreate the rings for the Narrikians.

Production: Semi Unique (20)
Semi unique is not 20. Comparable rings are Unique or semi-unique to dictate two.

What is the limitation on this? Standard shield amulets and force enhancing amulets have limitations. The higher the number you want for production, the less this should be able to be used out in the field.

Drop this down to only being used once in battle either for shielding or for power consumption, not both if you are going semi unique.

You may have the use of both once if you drop it to unique.

How much would I have to drop it, if I wanted to keep the numbers at 20, to facilitate Sirius being able to learn how to ICLY recreate the rings by studying them through Trial and Error?

Twenty is not semi unique.

This is non negotiable.

You have a max of up to four at semi unique with only one type of boon usable only once per interaction before requiring recharge.

Or you can have a unique ring with the respective qualities you desire with a story in the description that there are other rings that were made unusable in the attempt to make this ring.
