Strengths:

  • Love is in the air: The tractor beam can be used to easily wrench weapons from enemy hands, snag grenades from belts, stop a fleeing opponent, lift skirts, and anything else an inventive mind might come up with. And, yes, indeed, it can even be utilized to push, pull, and fling foes around battlefields. Finally, you can play out the Jedi fantasies of your youth.
Weaknesses:

  • Non-PC: This is a highly discriminating weapon, though not in the usual direction. Simply put – the fatter, the better. Slender damsels or naturally small species will find the Tractor rifle far less useful compared to, say, a hutt. This is a byproduct of how tractor beam technology works; Nadir won’t apologize for any sensibilities wounded in the reading of this disclaimer.

  • EMP/Ion: The inner workings of a tractor beam are entirely dependent on delicate electronics. Though the sturdy housing of the rifle provides some protection from area effects like EMP grenades, a direct hit will knock out the weapon until the user is able to reboot the systems. Since this requires them to disassemble the rifle, it’s not something easily done in the field.
DESCRIPTION
Ever seeking to spoil their customers for choice when it comes to arms, Nadir once again enters a new delicacy into the market – the E-series Tractor rifle.

It’s not a weapon you’d wine, dine, take home to your mother, marry, and have three kids with; but rather that one fiery gal from Zeltros you’d ring for a booty call every few years between jobs. The tractor rifle has, for the ingenious mercenary, a plethora of uses in the field. From disarming enemies at a distance to stealing the credit chip from their grubby little hands, the E-series is capable of it all. A focused beam coupled with the extensive capabilities of the computational scope allow for precise manipulation of objects from afar.

The other half of the equation is of course the ability of a tractor beam to lock onto an opponent and yank them into the air like a ragdoll. While certainly impressive, using the E-series in this manner carries a major caveat. Due to the mechanics of tractor beams, wielders with more… heft will find these weapons behave much better in their hands. Because a tractor beam relies on the inertia of its origin point, a hutt will have an easier time of picking up enemies and throwing them about.

A bastard with a good head for physics riding a speeding vehicle could of course capitalize on this characteristic – but that remains the purview of the individual user. Nadir takes no responsibility for injuries resulting in attempts to lift exceedingly heavy objects.
