Description:
The Multi-purpose Arm Terminal is a compact durasteel band which fits around the arm of the wearer. When not in use the terminal is only ten centimetres, but when activated the metallic band unfolds and expands to double its original size at a total length of twenty centimetres. As the name suggests, this arm terminal can be used for multiple purposes. It’s main purpose is to act as an easy access to information on the battlefield by utilising the use of holograms. For instance, the terminal can be used to; access to mission objectives, map out positions & locations, take notes, etc. It’s secondary function it to act as secondary communication system in emergency situations where a soldier may not have access to their primary communication systems.
The terminal is powered by miniature internal fuel cells located on the underside of the arm piece. The lifespan of the fuel cells are dependent on multiple factors. Some of the primary factors affecting this is the opacity and brightness of the hologram being projected. To maintain a longer lifespan of the fuel cell, the wear is capable of adjusting these settings.
