SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Designed to be worn by a child
  • Comes in different colors/designs
STRENGTHS
  • Hide Your Children: Y'know how in most mainstream video games, you're not allowed to kill a child NPC? This armor is an attempt to replicate that sensibility, making the child wearing it almost invulnerable to attack.
  • Lightweight: It's so light that a child can equip it.
  • Kid Friendly: The wearer is less likely to whine about having to wear it, express discomfort, or attempt to rip it off. This also applies to application; a seven year old could feasibly equip this armor by themselves. Younger ages will probably need adult supervision.
  • Does Include a Helmet: It just isn't pictured, because finding good images of a little girl wearing armor is difficult.
WEAKNESSES
  • Ragdoll: This armor is designed simply to protect the child wearer and doesn't include any fancy features that would help them fight back if attacked. (In other words, I'm not making this to turn Miri into a combatant. She's eight.)
  • Don't Let That Baby Get Cold: It will not keep the wearer warm or cool in an environment with extreme temperatures.
  • Sonic: Defense against sonic weapons is low.
  • EMP/ION: There aren't any electronics in this to short out, but since electricity/ion are still forms of energy, they can do slight damage.
  • CryoBan: Not much defense against the stuff.
  • Disruptors: Little defense from these. Why would you shoot a child with an inhumane and highly illegal weapon anyway? Do you want an express ticket straight to hell?
  • Noisy: The thin beskar plates tends to clank together with movement. It sounds like someone tied a bunch of tin cans to a cat's tail. Don't try to sneak around while wearing the plates.
  • Does Not Include: Fancy medals, silken sash, ermine-lined cloak, frilled collar, flowery hairpieces, ribbons and bows, or any other unnecessary accouterments seen in the pictures, such as magic wands or that inexplicable giant metal hammer.
DESCRIPTION
The basic idea behind this sub is to provide a suit of armor for Miri, a child NPC who has been consistently placed in dangerous situations while accompanying her adventurer father. I have yet to encounter a player who deliberately attempted to attack her (so far most players have been deterred from initiating combat at all due to her presence), but just to be on the safe side, I am making this for extra security and in-game realism.

The suit consists of two layers which can be worn separately or together. The first layer is a bodyglove constructed from thermal gel, armorweave, and cortosis weave. It preserves mobility and provides a decent amount of protection from energy, kinetic, and lightsaber attacks. It also doesn't suffer from the noisiness of the beskar layer.

The second or outer layer consists of various plates of very thin beskar, which have to be assembled piece by piece. The beskar layer is clunkier, noisier, and impedes movement somewhat; a compromise can be made by only wearing the cuirass, which protects the vital organs and allows the wearer free movement of their limbs.

Production can not be set to [Open Market], I think you're mixing the field up with affiliation.

  • Affiliation: (Individual Character Name (an individual PC/NPC who is permitted to use this item), Company Name(s) (Companies authorised to use this submission), Faction Name(s) (Factions authorised to use this submission, Closed-Market (Any character can use this if they have explicit permission through, for example, a marketplace purchase), Open-Market (May be used by any character without permission from the Manufacturer), other potential options include a submitted NPC unit, or another general organisation/group.)
  • Production: The scale is Unique (Only One Character), Semi-Unique (A single small unit, squad, or squadron), Limited (Only one small group of characters. IE: A Single Minor Faction, Company, or Group within a faction.), Minor (Large groups of characters. (IE: A Single Major Faction, a few companies, or groups.), Mass-Produced. (Anyone.) Characters refer to NPCs & PCs.)

Please correct the submission before I move it out of the pre-factory.
