Merope became a cunning and manipulative schemer since the moment she opened her eyes. Always giving the impression of knowing people, even when they want to hide from her all-seeing eyes, the princess grew up to embody the most representative and dangerous traits of a Seiarenei. With a well-developed, complex mind and a strength of personality to match, Merope is surely one unique being.

Flirty and inherently sociable, the Queen of Palamir is quite the charmer and has made of wrapping people around her fingers one of her favorite sports. She is uninhibited, and always with her own goals and her own benefit first, she never gives a second thought about how her words or actions might influence anyone as long as it is not her, her sister or the Seiarenei. She loves enjoying herself, and though it comes after her duties as a Queen, Merope always finds the time to engage in the activities that both entertain and spoil her.

An ambition unlike any seen before is the main fuel of her actions. Merope has always perceived her people as a superior species, who deserve every good thing the galaxy has to offer and has always pushed forward to the development of what in her eyes is the master of all races. Her intelligence and cunning have served her well in this purpose, together with the fact that the slight evilness about her ensures she will not lose too much sleep over whatever it is she has to do to ensure the progress of the Seiarenei.

Unlike what one would expect of a Queen, and more so, a Seiarenei Queen, even if she enjoys gloating herself in luxury and delight, Merope is one hard working individual with a perseverance that could lead her to rip mountains off their roots if they are standing in her way, as long as she has the time needed. Always setting her priorities straight, Merope slaves herself for the prosperity of her race and in return, they greet her with an almost blind fanaticism, both towards her and towards her beloved sister and fellow ruler, [member="Aselgis Dremire"].
She is an innovative ruler, progressively yet fruitfully advancing from the ancient customs of her people to build new, more modern ones that will allow the Seiarenei to adjust and incorporate themselves to a world they are about to be introduced to. She has adopted a balances style of ruling, with benevolence yet severity when it is called for. It is also necessary to highlight that her way of reacting is very biased. Merope is more tender towards her people than she is towards strangers and outsiders, even if these exotic beings then to capture her curiosity and interest.

Far from being a spoiled, ignorant royal child, Merope has spent plenty of her life dedicated to her formation not only as a future ruler but also academically and physically. This has given her the ability of keeping a disciplined mind, though this is harder in some scenarios, and have turned her into a very wise and resourceful being whom many make the mistake of taking for granted or stupid. She has a very low drive to tolerate offenses, and this cases usually end in a tragedy.

When the matter at hand involves her family, and more precisely her sister, Merope can show how territorial and jealous she can be. She might not be completely whimsical -at least not all the time-, but she does have a deep distaste for the ones who wish to take away what she considers is hers. Also, her protective nature expands over the ones who hold a sentimental significance to her -the only being that has always been harbored under this defense is her twin- has scared more than one brave warrior.

Her wrath is a force to be avoided, for the Seiarenei Queen has been known to hold a very unhealthy talent for resentment and vengeance. Like the skilled schemer she is, Merope will prey on her enemies until the moment is prime and then make sure not even their lifeless shreds remain on the galaxy.

Seiarenei are renowned for their beauty and grace, Merope is far from being an exception to this rule. With a feminine, curvaceous and attractive build, the woman can handle herself with an elegance and finesse that is more akin to that of a feline hunter than a bipedal, humanoid being. Alluring and surrounded by a mysterious feel, Merope often attracts at least the curiosity of those around her. When in her natural, aquatic form, Merope displays a beautiful, powerful tail, covered in shimmering scales of golden and dark red shades. Bicolored tails are a precious rarity among her species, and Merope has been blessed with the possession of it. The length of her body when in this form measures around 2,10 meters, given her tail is longer than her human legs and her whole body amounts to weight around 68kg. If she adopts her terrestrial form, this measure is tremendously cut down to a mere 1,66m, weighting in at around 46 kilograms.

She has naturally a paler skin tone, however hours of exposure to the rays of light often give her a slight sun-kissed tone, a couple of shades darker than what would be considered normal for her skin. Soft, silky-smooth and cooler than the one of most mammalian species, given the fact that the Seiarenei's body temperature is just a few degrees under the one the human's display. Occasional, slim scars adorn it, the remnants of simple accidents or wounds sustained either when training or fighting. Seiarenei are known to be slow-healers and though they have many means of vanishing the blemishes caused by wounds from their skin, Merope has decided to keep them, seeing them as a mirror of past conquests. Aromatic, her skin smells slightly of a precious flower growing in the coasts of Palamir, out of which her favorite perfume is made.

Not only is she physically beautiful, Merope has learnt through years of practice how to get the best out of it. She moves with great finesse, precise steps, a perfect pose and a slight sway at her hips. She is coordinated, has fast reflexes and is completely knowledgeable of the capacities of her body, in either of her forms and always makes sure to act accordingly to them. She is a skilled user of body language, and nowadays resorts to it almost instinctively, combining it with the refined use of her alluring, sultry voice. Merope could be considered a professional when it comes to expression herself, whether she is showing her true feelings and intentions or simply trying to wrap others around her fingers.

Her hair cascades long and slightly wavy, reaching well past her lower back. Plush and velvety, Merope has always made an effort of keeping it well-groomed and has avoided cutting it for most of her life, hence the length it has reached. A lover of intricate updos, ornamental combs and many other decorative features, the Seiarenei Queen is particularly obsessed with her chocolate-brown hair. It contrasts deeply with her diamond shaped, extremely light-colored eyes. Having a similar mutation to that of her tail in her eyes, Merope displays what is known as partial heterochromia in both eyes. Only sectors of her light-blue eyes, with no symmetry between the two, display a dark pink tone. Her eyes have been described both as very beautiful and slightly unnerving, depending on the personal preference of people, but it still remains that either in a beautiful way, or an unnerving one, she has one of the most powerful gazes out there.

The Dark Tide: Merope is strongly connected to the Dark Tide, or how most people know it, to the Force. She can sense it, alter it and control it, utilizing it as a means to achieve her ends.

Magic from the Deep: Merope is a skilled user of the powers granted to them by the Unlit, having spent most of her life perfectioning them. This allows her to protect herself, given her physical structure is not one prime for contact battle.

High-born: She is both a Queen and a Princess, and the heir -together with her beloved sister- of the Dremire Family's riches and titles. However, not only does this put her in a very comfortable place economically speaking, Merope also had access to a great instruction in many aspects, turning her into a resourceful and knowledgeable individual.

Lungs and gills: Merope is absolutely amphibious and can live both in and out of the water.

Intelligent: She has always displayed a complex, innovative and unpredictable way of thinking capable of combining tactical knowledge with spontaneity and imagination. She has yet to encounter a problem she cannot think her way out of.

Perseverance: Merope is relentless, as yes, this is great when pursuing one's goals. However, it also means she can become fixated and pursue her ends in an unhealthy manner.
Hardened scales: The scales of her tail are hardened and provide excellent protection. On the other hand, they are also sought after for the crafting of armor and precious goods, the reason why her kind are often hunted down.
Heat & Fire: Seiarenei can stand the heat as long as there is enough humidity in the air. If in a dry, hot environment Seiarenei will start to dehydrate and faint and can very easily die of heatstroke. In addition to this, their skin burns more easily than other specie's.

Slow healer: Seiarenei have a slower regeneration lapse. It takes them longer to heal from injuries and more so if out of the water.

Tail strong, arms not: With the exception of their tail, Seiarenei are not designed for strength nor resistance and thus can be easily subdued if out of the water.

The Hunger: A trait shared by all members of the species, Seiarenei have to eat and will go to any lengths to get food if hungry. They are even capable of eating their own relatives if starved for enough time. The only ones who are safe from the rage of the Hunger are their offspring, a Seiarenei would never harm her daughters.

Water: Though they are physically capable of surviving in land for as long as they like, being away from the water for long periods of time makes them enter an anxious abstinence syndrome that can provoke not only stronger influence of the Hunger but headaches, nausea, itching and aching of the legs.

Born in Anthemoessa as the daughter of Queen Clyen Dremire, Merope begun her life alongside her twin sister with a sole purpose: be prepared to take her mother's title once she perished. The first years of her infancy were spent in a luxurious, lavish castle in which she was raised and educated with Aselgis.

Merope and Aselgis were very close, as expected of any pair of twins. They did occasionally fight and bicker, specially over the attention of their Mother but in the end, the sisters stuck together like glue and never left each other's side for long. Being so, Aselgis and Merope started sharing more than just the same blood. They shared friendship, trust...and with time, as they grew older and matured, the sisters displayed a similar ambition and purpose.

The situation decimated when the Netherworld opened its gates, and many were vanished into nothing from one day to the other. The connection to the force of many Seiarenei had ensured that large groups of them disappeared, and among them: the two princesses. Merope and her sister were drawn, together with a group of Seiarenei, to an unknown planet, even more filled with water than Anthemoessa used to be. Soon they discovered they were not alone, a group of Zeltrons who had somehow wandered into this unknown planet too was mesmerized by the arrival of the ocean-kin.

The Seiarenei did not take long in conquering the planet, specially given the fact that the natives took to them as goddesses of the sea, and willingly offered themselves into their serving. As the Dremire daughter, the crown princesses of Anthemoessa, Merope and Aselgis were proclaimed the Queens of Palamir, and have ruled this world together ever since their arrival.

In the last few years, the sisters have been pushing the building of a space port, that would allow them to return to their home-world and connect their two kingdoms.
