Meeting the Republic

Kodiak Mosthal

Corusant was a city. It wasn't a planet. At least that's what Kodiak Mosthal thought. The middle aged Tuscan from Tatooine was never one for large cities, let alone a planet made up of one city. He didn't mind it for this occasion though. It wasn't everyday that you meet a figure so high up in the Republic like Flint Pherson. From Kodiak's understanding, he was the commander of the Republic. That wasn't something you could take lightly.

Kodiak's newly found New Rebel Alliance was in need of, well, and alliance. Though he planned it to be trade only. All he needed was a trade agreement so he could slowly build up his forces. Once he had what he needed he would break the alliance with them. That wouldn't be for awhile though.

He walked up the steps to the grand palace where the Supreme Court was. He only hoped he wouldn't encounter resistance. He would hate to start a war he couldn't fight. As he got nearer he grew more nervous. He began to think of plans in case this meeting wouldn't turn in his favor. He sighed and hoped for the best.

Darren followed Kodiak up the steps and knew that if they needed suplies that they would have to make alliances with people in power, and one of the easiest to get along with were the Republic and sometimes the Jedi. Both of them were being stared at by locals, and Jedi alike. Some of their looks were of disgust. Others were intreaged. Darren had found an alliance of disadents and rebels. There wern't very many there, and that didnt suprise him. they were after all just starting out.

Both Kodiak and he went up to the doors of the Supreme Court. Once inside the loby was larger than he would have thought. It was decrated as if to bore everyone to death. A banner here another there. but in the center of the room was a main desk and the atendant's face was priceless. Darren was wearing his full battle gear because he didn't have his old cermional robes. He threw them away when he left the Jedi. Darren knew that he stood out from everyone else, becasue of his bright white armor. it was dulled alittle by the cloak he wore though. the hood was down so he didnt look to menacing. He didnt want to come across that way.

They reached the desk and Darren said "We have an appointment with Comander Flint Pherson." Darren had heard of him before. Leader of the Republic army was a huge title to hold. he simply waited for the woman to stop staring at him and Kodiak and let them in.

Rheelynd was in shock. Never had she imagined there was such a thing as a city-planet, much less that she would ever see one, but here she was. The sight was breathtaking, especially since she had grown up in a jungle. She had never even been to Capital Codru, the largest (and only) city on her homeplanet, which master Darren had told her was small compared to most cities in the galaxy.
Her new master had shown her so much since leaving home. He had taught her how to fly a ship (though she was still getting the hang of it), how to use the Force (something she was taking to much faster but doubted she would ever master even if she lived a hundred lives), and he had promised to show her how to build her own lightsaber soon.
She stood looking up at the massive court building, marveling at it's shear size when she realized that her master was already at the top of the stairs about to enter the building. Rheelynd bolted up the stairs after him, even putting some of her new found power behind the sprint. For she thought that if she lost sight of him here, in this mass of "civilization" she may never find him again.

Zeth, a young human, was tired of tyranny. He had studied past forms of it, and discovered what happened to the people when the leader was corrupt. After he began to see the same things happining around him, he decided he needed to fight the Empire. So here he was. A young force user in Corusant. The only things he possessed being the clothes on his back, two blasters, and two lightsabers. He grinned. This was going to be interesting.
