Map Update: July 30, 2017 - New Grids!

With all the ongoing changes, I hope everyone can forgive the month delay on the map. However, I bring the latest with the most exciting of changes.

As you can see, the hexes are now smaller -- a third smaller to be exact. Do not be alarmed, while the influence clouds have been rearranged to fit the new hexes, no Major Faction has lost any planets.

In fact, all major factions gained four additional planets to their influence clouds.

Quick query, though: TSE started an invasion of Dominion space that would incorporate Krayiss II, Telos, Eol Sha and Mirial, according to the hex space on the old map (this being prior to the update). Will we now have to reduce this down to a single hex capture with the new map?

There will be many questions concerning how things translate to the new map, and I will have this to say to all (so that you can drop this quote whenever you're discussing it): If the date of your dominion/invasion is prior to this time and posting of the map, please PM an admin so that the situation is forwarded to myself.

We will be taking a look at any/all situations and making sure a fair outcome is given.

So, the action you should take is: Contact an Admin, give them the details of your situation. I will be posting a thread in our Staff forum to track these situations and we'll promise a fair migration into the future of map hexes.

Quick question though: What's the word on diplomatic world transfers now? It was a maximum of 4 worlds first- is anything going to change about that with the new rules? Hexes instead of planets maybe?

It'll probably be a big project, requiring multiple Codex and possibly Factory subs to be done beforehand, which will take me quite a bit of time to plan out and get done. Whatever it ends up being, I want it to have some interesting features and secrets on it.
