Designed by the head of MandalArms R&D himself; Yomaget, as a companion vessel to the MandalArms Onderon-Class pocket destroyer, and the Dxun class heavy cruiser, the sleek and powerful Myrkr-class packs a heavy punch in a streamlined package. Though she is rather slow and ponderous, she makes up for it in sheer firepower.

The wings are armored, shielded, and packed with capacitors for the primary armaments. The central hull houses the main bridge, and main engineering sections. Masses of power generators line the tail section to power the engines, shields, and primary weapons. There is no room for hangar space or cargo on this vessel, packed so tightly are the power generators and shielding required for the powerful armaments.

A full broadside from the Myrkr class is something to be avoided. Though when damaged the ships are at much greater risk of exploding due to their awesome power, they can until that time, inflict heavy punishment on most enemy forces.

As part of the new Mandalorian navy, the strike cruiser is one of the most important elements, and was therefore one of the few MandalArms designs kept out of the interference of General Kaine until production was well underway.

Hence evident in the sleek lines and capable loadout, thanks to the General's absence from the design process, there is elegance, less silliness and far, far more effectiveness and efficiency.

Standard Deflector Shields is what you would be looking for (a deflector shield is generally a combination of both ray and particle shielding, or at least that's most often the case in canon).
