Major Faction Recall Rules | Check-In Replacement Rules

1. The SWRP Staff Team has voted to reject the Major Faction Check In rules.

2. In accordance with this, Faction Deterioration Rules have also been rejected.

3. A new rule-set has been proposed and accepted with a strong majority, with 10 Yays and 1 Nay.

4. The new rule-set can now be found at the bottom of the Major Faction Rule-set: http://starwarsrp.net/page/articles.html/_/role-play-rules/major-factions-r15

MAJOR FACTION RECALL
1. Upon discovery of an Major Faction that does not meet the SWRP Staff Team's standards, a Staff member may begin a vote to demote the Major Faction to a Minor Faction and recall it from the SWRP Galactic Map.

2. A Major Faction Recall vote requires 2/3 majority vote from the SWRP Staff Team to successfully pass.

3. Once a vote has passed, the Major Faction's Administrators will be sent a Notification Of Closure.

4. Upon receiving a Notification Of Closure, the Major Faction will have 14 days to bolster activity and meet the SWRP Staff Team's standards.

5. Upon the end of the 14 days of the Notification Of Closure, a second vote from the SWRP Staff Team will be held in accordance with the rules of the first vote. Upon passage of the second vote, the Major Faction will be demoted to Minor and removed from the SWRP Galactic Map.
Points of Clarification:

1. What are Staff's Standards? This will be the most common question. The Board Owner has instructed the SWRP Staff Team that there will be no cohesive standard announced to the community - Staff is to represent their standards with their votes. In any given situation, the standards could change.

2. Will a Major Faction be informed why they are being voted to be removed from the map? Yes. This will be included in the Notification Of Closure.

3. What will be the IC reason for map removal? This point was one of concern by many Staff members, and the general consensus is "The leaving Major Faction gets to decide the reason, as it may create IC opportunities for writers involved."

Feel free to weigh in on this new rule change with questions, discussion, and suggestions.

-Man, this is such a beautiful way of wording things.
