Description: Designed simply as a quickly released explosive trap that can be set in the path of the enemy. Durasteel caltrops with magnetic tips wrapped in det tape. Quick and easier to make and can be deployed in large quantities for locations or dropped over an enemy area to cause mini explosions. The explosion enough to blow up a hand grasping it (think cherry bomb), not enough to penetrate armors but can compromise it with enough blowing up in it or over an area. The best feature of the caltrops though is the magnets for deploying them from speeders to stick to pursuing enemies or get under a vehicle that is to armored from the sides and top.

Durasteel caltrops with magnetic tips wrapped in det tape.

Just to make sure this is perfectly clear, Det Tape is not literally tape, it is a plastic explosive - which means it acts much like C-4 and Semtex, and a layer as thin as tape and around the tip of a spike isn't going to produce much more than what you would see if you let a stove run without a flame and then light it after about 4 seconds of constant gas release.

There is more det tape then a thin layer, the caltrop is decently sized and wrapped in it with a magnetic tip to let it stick.
