Description: While the Argevant-class was a very capable vessel in peace times, able to ferry several squads between sites, reports came in describing the craft's woeful combat survival capabilities. Aimed at correcting these issues, plans for the M47 were drawn up. Rather than create a line of dropships intended to wholly supplant the Argevant's role as a workhorse shuttle, the M47 was designed as a first-response combat shuttle. The goal was to have several waves of M47s clear and secure an LZ and then have Argevants move in later and bring in the main force. To this end, the M47 is heavily shielded and armored, affording it top-line survivability even in crash landings. More heavily armed as well, M47s typically expend their rocket payloads to clear an area for deployment, saving its two chin-mounted laser cannons and concussion missiles for hostile infantry and armor.

A civilian version exists, dropping the missiles in favor for other systems. Police forces added a pair of detention cells while medical use opted for an emergency medbay.
