The Liberator-Class Cruiser was commissioned by the Republican Military in order to serve the role of general offense, support, and escort. It is a well-armed vessel, equipped with a small unit of starfighters and bombers, charged with complementing the combative efforts launched by the larger ships of the Republic Navy. Being that it is currently under mass production, the Liberator-Class Cruiser more often than not makes up the majority of a Section Army, second only to the Republic's Escort Frigates and Assault Corvettes.
