Following the collapse of the Techno Union, numerous worlds fell victim to avarice. Having been repelled for so long, the more vicious scum of the Galaxy immediately began to prowl their old stomping grounds. Spice production skyrocketed. Civil services came to a grinding halt. Slavery began anew. Ryloth was among the many worlds affected by the rampant assaults; and soon all the progress that the planet had made was eroded. Its people were robbed of their freedom and were scattered about the stars - Hope became a foreign concept to many.
Yet, when the Confederacy banded together once more, that foreign concept came alive. In short order, the chains of Ryloth were broken and freedom was once again theirs to enjoy. As the celebrations and reconstruction began, many of the natives saw fit to craft gifts for their liberators. Chief amongst these was a beautiful garment formed from Rycrit hide. These were simple, yet durable cloaks which could be worn in a plethora of ways; especially over armor. Furthermore, the methods by which the cloaks were woven has allowed them to provide excellent protection against excessive cold, wind, or even sharp objects.
Dubbed Leth Sirsa'a in Twi'leki, these literal Red Cloaks are a grateful world's way of saying thank you to their saviors.
