To distance herself from the lightsaber she had been associated with for much of her career as a Force User, Taeli decided the time was right to craft herself a new weapon to be part of her guise as the Lady of Secrets. To that end, she decided to build a new lightsaber centered around a telescoping hilt, much like those used by several Knights of Zakuul from the distant past. The resulting lightsaber, while it would normally be wielded as a single blade saber, could also be used much like a lightsaber pike and with the whole thing being crafted from phrik, it could be used in battle against other saber wielders in other ways they might not expect.
