Image Source: Pokémon Go (Aurebesh lettering by me)
Intent: To provide salvagers and the general public with a means of identifying items
Development Thread: If necessary
Manufacturer: Corellia Digital
Model: Kadabra technology identifier
Affiliation: Open Market
Modularity: No
Production: Mass-Produced.
Material: Standard software components, HoloNet connectivity

Strengths:

- Offers many criteria to help users narrow down an item
- Fast learning curve

Weaknesses:

- The accuracy of the software decreases as the clarity of the picture decreases
- Even with the clearest pictures, in certain instances (especially if the device is worn-down or derelict) Kadabra may leave the end-user with multiple possibilities without pointing at the exact device
- Limitations become obvious if it points to a classified device
- Dependent on Holonet connectivity

Description: As software-as-a-service, Kadabra allows its users, with a yearly subscription, to identify, using a picture taken with a suitable device from the end user, an item the end user wishes to identify. Image recognition software is used on the cloud to help users identify against a cloud-hosted database of technological devices known to history, from the most common to the more obscure so long as the object's existence isn't secret and is recorded in history. If the user already knows certain characteristics, such as a manufacturer, a category, the user will be able to input the known characteristics of the software while in use. Of course, as with all applications based on image recognition software, it has its limitations; the less clear the image is, the less accuracy it have. It will sometimes leave users having to choose from several objects, and may help narrow down an item, but final identification will, in these instances, require further testing on the part of the end user.

[member="Jessica Med-Beq"], this looks pretty good.

It sounds like this depends on connection with the HoloNet to work if it works on the Cloud. If you'd mention that somewhere in the description or in the weaknesses section, this will be ready for approval.
