James Bond Is Back

Out of nowhere....

James Bond will return to US cinemas on November 8, 2019 with a traditional earlier release in the UK and the rest of the world. Bond 25, the next adventure in the long-running action franchise, will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, long time collaborators and writers on previous Bond films including CASINO ROYALE, QUANTUM OF SOLACE, SKYFALL and SPECTRE. The film will be produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. Additional details regarding distribution, including international release dates, the film’s cast and director, will be announced at a later date.

Will Daniel Craig return? Why was he not confirmed here to "return as James Bond in 2019".

2 years to go? Better hurry as they've wasted 2 years since 'SPECTRE' already...!

Nothing yet. Lots of tabloids fronting the "expected back" or "will he return?" tag-line.

Unless EON are just building a big reveal - 2 years is long enough of a reveal I think - but strange how they didn't announce him returning unless they'll just do a big cast/crew reveal with him at the forefront.

So with 2 years wasted, they've got 2 and a bit years to produce the film, which is the same gap as 'Casino Royale' to 'Quantum Of Solace' which didn't get the best reception.

But it's also the same 2 year gap since 1977 - 1987 and 1995 to 1999 dishing out a film like the classic era did.

However all we can do is wait. As Craig will be 50 going into production, and 51 on release, will he continue after this to close in on Roger Moore's age of 57 making his last Bond film 'A View To A Kill' and do ANTOHER film in his early 50s or call it quits.

Hopefully they will confirm things soon...

[member="Valiens Nantaris"] You know? It wouldn't surprise me.

Christopher Nolan directs Emma Watson as Bond, Jane Bond. James's half-sister twice removed and Blofeld's second cousin from his father's side.

*shudder*

Good names but they're all too big a star IMO for Bond.

They usuall go for names just making ripples in the business, but not big enough to eclipse the character.
When you think of Idris Elba you think of Luther, The Jungle Book and The Dark Tower. Hiddleston you have Loki and The Night Manager. Tom Hardy with Venom, Mad Max and his works with Chris Nolan on a big international scale.

The previous Bonds had a small screen credits and low-budget movies to their names before hitting the big-time with Bond that really made them international.

I think Dan Stevens from Downton Abbey and Beauty And The Beast is in the perfect position to take up a new 007 if they want to carry on a Craig-era story with new blood. And he's 34 so perfect age to make a good number of movies.
