Irresistible [Valkyries]

The Valkyries had a singular purpose: make the choice of revealing the truth of the Dark Side to those ignorant to it, or grant them the peace of death should they be too weak to truly handle the truth. A simple task that held grand repercussions. Valkyries were seen as dark angelic creatures weaving through the battlefield in search of potential acolytes to bring to the dark side.

Something lurked deep within the Dark Force Temple of Dromund Kaas. An artifact from an era long gone. One that, in the hands of the Valkyries, would usher in a new age for the Sith Empire. It was the Sith Nova Holocron, an artifact crafted by Count Dooku that would locate Jedi Padawans across the galaxy for the purpose of turning them to the dark side.

Ever since Elani first stepped foot into the temple when the Sith had returned to Dromund Kaas, she could feel the darkness emanating from the artifact. She sensed it's power coming from deep within the temple, but there was a sufficient enough interference blocking her from determining where the artifact was exactly. She needed help from her fellow valkyries in order to bring the holocron to the surface and begin utilizing it. She called upon her sisters for their aid and awaited them just outside of the temple.

From the foundation of the Valkyries to now, lots had changed in the life of Darth Avacyn. One constant however was the duty that rested on her shoulders, leading the Valkyries wherever they went. For this reason it was no surprise that when the location of the Sith Nova Holocron was discovered, she was one of the first to answer the call of [member="Elani Zambrano"] and head off to Dromund Kaas to assist in the artifact's retrieval. Her entrance was far from a grand one however; had it not been for the armor she wore she would have seemed no different from any other Valkyrie gathered near the entrance of the temple. The redhead's presence in the Force spoke for her instead, for those who wielded the Force like she did it was not difficult to notice her arrival. It was paired with a wave of dark power that perpetually surrounded her, a clear message she was far from insignificant.

"Elani Zambrano, was it?" The woman's voice called out to the one who had called them here. "By finding this place you have not only done the Valkyries a great service, but the Dark side itself as well." Recovering the actual artifact was still something that had to be done, and there was no doubt in Avacyn's mind it wouldn't be as easy as simply walking in and taking it, but credit was to be given nontheless. Turning her head to the temple's entrance the Sith lady would speak once again, her tone filled with an inquisitive tone. "Have you found anything about the temple itself? The most minute details could be of help in getting our hands on the holocron."

Elani's eyes were closed for a moment as she immersed herself in the voices of the spirits in the immediate area. Bobo rested on her shoulders, looking about frantically as he does normally. His energy amused Elani. It's part of the reason she kept him around. When Kaalia walked up and spoke, Bobo looked back at her and stared silently. He could feel her power and knew she was a friend of Elani's. "I only know what I was able to find out when we subjugated the planet." she began, her voice soft and smooth. "There's something deep below the surface. Something protecting the holocron. It's angry. And it's hungry. I'm not quite sure what it is but caution is advised." Elani rose from her kneeling position, Bobo gripping her cloak tightly, not wanting to fall off.

"Will there be any more coming?" she asked, looking at Kaalia with her own violet eyes. "We're going to need more of us if we plan on getting out with our bodies and lives intact."

"Whatever it may be, we must be prepared to face it. If there are any more preparations you need to make, I suggest you do that now." Avacyn herself was ready to head on inside, but wanted to be sure that Elani was as well. She was going to have to rely on her experience traversing Sith temples, something she had done numerous times in the past. This time it was not mere curiosity and the wish to learn that would drive her to explore such a structure however, but for the future of the Valkyries. This was an important undertaking, which then also was the reason she was not amused with the lack of response Elani's call had gotten so far.

"I ordered a number of Valkyries to come. They should arrive soon." They were a small group that stood under the direct order of the Valkyrie elder. Whenever she called upon them they answered immediately, and they would aid Elani and Avacyn in their search of the holocron. "We shall wait for any others to do so as well until they are here."

As the waiting began the redhead went to sit down in the meditative position and closed her eyes. Reaching out in the Force, she looked to discern what protected the holocron. Almost immediately her vision was shrouded however, making sure that nobody could learn much to give them ways of preparing. "It seems there is not much we can do from here," the woman said matter-of-factly as she slowly got back on her feet. "We will have to adapt as we go."

Elani breathed in deeply and before sharply exhaling. "I suggest we move now. Should reinforcements arrive, I'll leave a trail for them that will lead them to us." Elani stepped forth to the opened door of the temple, proceeding inside. Once she stepped in, the braziers, one by one, illuminated, revealing the path towards the deeper interior of the temple. "I can feel it. The latent power here. It's so strong. Whatever is below is feeding on it, growing stronger with each passing moment. Either it's really big or there is more than one. I can't quite tell."

From the shadows emerged a large figure. It was Koren Merr, Elani's brutish mind slave. "Koren, guide us to the holocron. Kill anything in our way." The armored humanoid nodded at his master and turned away. The clanking of his armor filled the silent hall as he proceeded forward. "Koren knows the way to the holocron. When we returned to Dromund Kaas, I had him guide acolytes in mapping out the temple for future purposes." Elani's thin frame was shadowed by Koren's form as he led the way. Bobo leaped from her shoulder and onto Koren's, wanting a front seat view of where they were headed.
