To boldly alchemize what no one alchemized before
It was good to be back home again, after a rough day fighting slavers, and back to alchemizing drill bits, ejection seats, even though she knew these two items set up her alchemy business and formed the bulk of her cash flow. But after hearing about Sith, as well as Ren, going rogue, perhaps, in her mind, it was worth cold-calling a potential client about customized alchemical items. Hopefully said client isn't a monster! I'm praying that the individual does not ask for songsteel: that will distract me from the alcohol, drill bits or ejection seats, she thought, prior to whipping out her datapad. Griet markedly improved since she first alchemized those duranium drill bits, a year or so ago, so she is now responsible for the drill bit part of the business; after all, her wingwoman knows drill bits and mining better than anyone else she knew that alchemized items, and probably is someone she could trust in metallurgical matters. And accounting matters, too; the last accountant bill is much less expensive than the one from the year prior to that. Plus those songsteel futures! Now that's the investment of a lifetime for Janick; some adventurous people make a killing by being restricted materials futures traders, even though high-volume RM futures trading is very uncommon due to the red tape commonly associated with it.

DESCRIPTION
During her last mission under the employment of the Galactic Empire as an inquisitor Yuvie suffer a large array of wound from multiple combatants before ultimately being shot in the back by her own men at the order of being declared a traitor, her armor providing little protection against the onslaught of attacks.

Upon recovery under the watch of the Silver Jedi, the former inquisitor set out to continue her work under the banner of the Galactic Alliance, but also saw the need to upgrade her protective clothing so such and event would not happen again. As such Yuvie sought out the help of [member="Janick Beauchamp"] using under ground contacts upon hearing about the woman's skill in using alchemy for the creation of weapons armor and many other components.

Out of this meeting fruit was beard, in the form of a formidable armored suit that was resistant to many of the galaxies available weapons, being tailor made for Yuvies use of light saber dueling, deliberately placing heavy armor in vital places but keeping certain areas exposed to allow easier movement in the limbs.

It had taken a while to get the specification all done and dusted, but finally Yuvie had sorted most of the detail out, though there was still room for improvement though that could wait, first the two needed to settle on the basic design of the armored suit the former inquisitor ha requested. 'I just hope I've done everything right, crafting is not really my forty... perhaps I should take lessons, this magic and alchemy stuff sound like useful stuff to have on hand, probably grant great power as well'.

The young Mirlian entered into the designated meeting point, a data pad tucked under her arm that contained the design and outlay for the custom armor. If she was still in her old job, working under the Galactic Empire, such armor would have been well out of the initials pay grade and reach, but now, freelancing it up, able to make more money on the side and through other not so legal means such a prospect was very real. That was not to say the order would not be expensive, just within her price range for once... well hopefully anyways, economics was not really another strong point of hers... "I really need to learn some more skills".

To boldly alchemize what no one alchemized before
So a Mirialan dark-sider arrived at the Utapau Alchemy Castle's turret storefront, presumably to take measurements for some suit of armor, knowing that crafting such made-to-order items would require certain measurements to be taken, such as the inseam, waist, breasts and other measurements that are important in crafting customized suits of armor. Probably one of those who would want revenge against the Sith Empire and the Primeval, she thought, while the image of Mirialans conjured the atrocities committed by those factions on Mirial. Given what [member="Iturizu Yuvie"] perceived as being the high price of the alchemized suit, she would offer extras to soften the blow, to actually ensure that the young Mirialan will get her money's worth, especially since she could feel that she might be useful to the ORC or the Confederacy, alongside whom she fought the Galactic Empire on Dagobah. These days, all she ever does is do stuff related to the war effort, such as running the ORC Navy's investments, and hence its supplies of cash for the war effort, alchemizing items for high-value personnel and, of course, fighting the battle in a cockpit, leading five or more squadrons from the point.

"I am Janick, from the Utai Magic Circle. I assure you, you will be getting your money's worth: on top of the customized armor suit, you will learn two Force-powers along with that. But before you even learn the relevant Force-powers, I will have to make some measurements from you, to make sure the armor will actually fit you. It should be ready in a day or two" she told Iturizu before taking the measurements for the suit of armor.

The woman she encountered appeared to be your average human, though Yuvie could feel the dark side off of her, said woman also having a Witchy look to her, mostly due to that mark on her chest and in general clothing, then again being an Alchemist she would most likely be a spell user of some sort, and a powerful one at that.

"Well I appreciate that very much, I'll need all the help I can get since I do not have a current master", he handed over the specification of her custom armor, or what she had so far, they still needed to do some work on that. "Go right ahead, won't be the first time I've gone through this, the Galactic Empire had quite the strict routine on uniforms, though I must ask, why are you so willing to help me with this? From what I know about your company, it seems to cater to more higher end customers like Meran Mechanics and more affluent people, all I am is some renegade Sith with their own agenda, something that would not normally catch the eye of a powerful person like yourself".

[member="Janick Beauchamp"]

To boldly alchemize what no one alchemized before
"I fought the Galactic Empire on two occasions: Bothawui and Dagobah. After the atrocities they committed on Hapes and Charros, I had to fight them, so that they may no longer commit such atrocities. Now that you mention Meran Mechanics, I helped them drill tihaar on Asop, along with Griet, and it's because of them that the Magic Circle now produces alchemized drill bits"

She will probably find it bizarre that one could drill tihaar on Asop much like one would drill for oil on Manpha and a number of other planets. As for me being an average human, perhaps that would be the case outwardly, but she doesn't have a feel for my mind yet, Janick thought, while realizing that beauty standards came in many different forms, but how unique people actually were depended on a large number of factors, and intellect accounting for only a handful of those. With the key measurements taken on [member="Iturizu Yuvie"], she would then be able to craft an alchemized suit of armor that would fit her specifications. But it wouldn't be proper to Janick to talk about her run-ins with the GE in more detail unless asked about them. it would probably be more useful to Iturizu to go around using Drain Knowledge on her to learn the basics of alchemical crafting than to learn more about how she went around fighting the Imps. Then she began actually talking about Drain Knowledge, what it was and how to perform it, while being mindful that Iturizu's mind may operate differently from her own.

"Now, for Drain Knowledge. It's akin to using the Force to slice into somebody's mind. For this reason, there's the risk that you may accidentally remove memories from someone, but it's less likely to happen if the target has a better memory. That said, getting a feel for somebody's brain beforehand can help minimize the risk, but it's by no means a guarantee. Just try to get a feel for my brain in the Force first"

Yuvie was not really expecting a response, well that clear, but it was good to have similar ground to stand, all but a little different it was something she could relate to. "Well, I am not surprised, I left the Empire for similar reasons, but with the added bonus of a slug put through my left lung... I used to think that using such methods were justified, the whole end goal being worth it, taken in by the propaganda that portrayed the Jedi as tyrannical fascist that held all the power for their own selfish goals... I was such a fool".

She stood still and proper as [member="Janick Beauchamp"] went about taking her measurements for the suit, for the most part nothing being to spectacular for any more comments about ones past. Soon though the woman had recorded all she needed to make the armored suit, not it was time to expand her list of force powers, a lesson Yuvie would not openly admit, but was very much excited to undertake. She listened carefully to the woman's explanation of the technique, nodding reassuringly as she took in all the information. "I think I understand, its like torture, you have to be careful in how you do it as to not harm your subject, but at the same time use enough... leverage to get the information you need".

[member="Janick Beauchamp"]

To boldly alchemize what no one alchemized before
"It's the leverage part that requires to get your feel for the person's brain. I know that, usually, people used despair when using Drain Knowledge, mostly because they tend to exhaust other methods for getting the knowledge first"

As a practitioner gained in skill in Drain Knowledge, they would be able to do so over longer distances. But, with Iturizu, and Er'in before her, it will be a pretty short-range affair, Janick thought, being reminded that the real reason why Drain Knowledge was dark-sided was because it was tantamount to mental torture, and several powers needed a working knowledge of Drain Knowledge to effectively learn, which were much nastier: Memory Rub, Memory Walk, Mind Shard. Now, with [member="Iturizu Yuvie"] wanting to learn alchemy from her, perhaps the Mirialan could use Drain Knowledge to learn alchemy and basic crafting from her. That will be a lot, so she was eager to see the vision of either activity, which will mean to her that Iturizu can actually use the power. But at the same time, it will be pretty basic as well. In fact, Iturizu's brain may as well start glowing more intensely prior to the visions flashing in both ladies' minds, if only because she will use it more in an attempt to use Drain Knowledge. Plus Janick knew that she could confidently offer herself as a test subject for a beginner to learn alchemy from her without affecting her own ability to do it.

"Now, you may try using Drain Knowledge to get the basics of crafting and alchemy from me"

Iturizu Yuvie

"Okay I think I understand, I have some skill in other mind tricks and so forth, as such getting a feel for someones brain and mind is not to difficult for me, though I do need practice, it has been a while since I have needed to use such skills". Well that was not entry true, but when still under command of the Galactic Empire the former inquisitor had no shortage of people to interrogate and thus become used to routing around peoples mind when using force persuasion and other little trick to get what she needed. What she needed now for performing this type of task was concentration and patience, it would be a tragity if she accidentally harmed the master craftsmen, though Yuvie had confidence in the woman's mental shielding ability to prevent such a thing from happening.

"Okay, Ill give it a shot, just let me know if I do anything wrong", Yuvie breathed in before reaching out in the force and began to probe through Janick mind, using memory rub and other powers to search through the woman's mind. It seemed easy, but she knew that Janick was allowing her to do this without resistance, but still, trying to find the exact memories about basic alchemy was still a little fuzzy, her mind being full of knowledge, all sort of things, most which eluded her understanding. Soon though the thoughts Yuvie searched fro came into mind, basic alchemy synthesizing, "Okay, now what do I do"?

[member="Janick Beauchamp"]

To boldly alchemize what no one alchemized before
"Now it's time for you to use what leverage you have to make your intrusion and, from there, get the alchemy knowledge you seek, much as you would slice into a computer. I understand if it takes a while for you, because you have realized by now just how full of knowledge I really am, so perhaps you could use despair, or even your greed, to actually power your use of the dark side"

The hard part, when the target has a good memory, is to find exactly where in the mind the information one wants is stored. That step is usually easier when one's memory is, well, not as good, but one is exposing the target to a different risk, Janick thought, while waiting on [member="Iturizu Yuvie"] to actually attempt intruding into her mind. Then again, she knew that not all memories could be consciously accessed at any given time. Once the crafting of the base suit of armor is done, after the Mirialan learns Drain Knowledge, she will then have a venipuncture done so that the spirit binding will actually make the effects much more effective on Iturizu than if it was worn by someone else that somehow had the same vital measurements as her. At this point, perhaps the eagerness could be transformed into impatience, which will lead to despair. But now that Iturizu had a feel for Janick's brain, Janick could also do the same operation in reverse: the Mirialan girl was much more mechanistic than she was, despite Janick using alchemy to create alchemized ejection seats and shipboard Force-detectors.

"Once you will have used Drain Knowledge to get your crafting and alchemical knowledge out of me, I will go craft the suit of armor and return with the base suit of armor for you to alchemize"

Yuvie nodded with confidence, so far everything had been relatively simple, more just requiring a lot of concentration to undertake "Greed would work well for me, I have spent to long without gaining anymore knowledge, and if I want to stay in the game I will need all the power I can muster". That and get pay back on that lizard face mercenary that tried to kill her, such a man was a tricky target, having armor with void stone and saber resistant materials, as such a alchemy and crafting some sort of powerful weapon was pretty high on her to do list.

Though it seemed that her mind was very much washed in information, and although Yuvie had found the memories about the basics of alchemy, it was still hard to narrow down the first lesson she had taken and the most basics steps. Though concentrating at the task on hard, she was still able to hear Janciks words and following plans, "Okay, I understand, it is just a bit tricky to narrow own which memories I must attain, you certainly have much knowledge at your disposal, such power at your finger tips... its a bit over whelming to be honest, but I believe that I have located what I need".

[member="Janick Beauchamp"]

To boldly alchemize what no one alchemized before
That was a little dragged out for [member="Iturizu Yuvie"], sure, just that to the other users that actually tried, alchemy stuck out like a sore thumb to them when combing Janick's brain for knowledge to drain. After the vision of using blood to spray on the object being alchemized so that she could later bind purple-black spirits to the object in question was over, Janick feels that the use of greed was having some side effects: she could almost touch it. Something's fishy or at least different with her: while greed made it work, the paradox of choice that it entails to her dragged the process out, but in a less knowledgeable person, it wouldn't be that long, although it's usually riskier to accidentally cause that person to forget, she thought, realizing that perhaps the Mirialan is more scattered than Er'in or Daedel was. So she went out to prepare a venipuncture kit, such as a sterile needle and a vacutainer, to draw blood from her, to be kept chilled until the actual alchemizing began. Once the venipuncture is over, she was prepared to craft the suit of armor, using the measurements previously taken on the young Mirialan rebel.

"I feel you may need some rest. Tomorrow you should be able to start the alchemy lesson proper, and the base suit will be finished by then as well. However, before you can go get some rest, perhaps a venipuncture would be in order, to make sure you won't become sick from wearing your own suit of armor"

Yuvie finally started to get the information she wanted about alchemy, maybe starting to realize using greed as a means was not the best, she was never really a greedy person so perhaps dispear would have worked better, she had no shortage of that, her entire family killed in the cross fire between the Dominion and Resurgent Empire, being betrayed by her former allies. As soon as she started thinking about the, the memories she was after seemed to come out with more ease, in no time her mind a washed with the basic understanding oh alchemy, Yuvie releasing her grip on the force and Janick's mind, "Well that was unexpected". She quickly turned her attention back to [member="Janick Beauchamp"] as she explained the next steps of crafting the suit, "Ah yes of course... a good nights rest will indeed be good for me, thank you for sharing your knowledge with me, I will make sure to put it to good using in our next lessons".

To boldly alchemize what no one alchemized before
There were, in fact, three occasions for the Sith to kill off [member="Iturizu Yuvie"]'s family in the crossfire of war: the initial massacre perpetrated by the Primeval, the Sith Empire attacking after Serenno fell, and finally when the Silvers attacked Mirial in retaliation for Lola Sayu. After learning of Iturizu's sources of despair, and not realizing that Iturizu's surface thoughts were wide open, Janick spent the next three hours crafting the very suit of armor to the specifications in the measurements taken, with the blood kept chilled according to the standards of blood banks for humans (and, presumably, Mirialans are kept to similar blood banking standards, and so would a bunch of Near-Human blood banks). Thank the Force for Griet and Alyssa: they can keep the other goods flowing, she thought, while Iturizu spent the night at the castle, albeit in the guest room. Once that is done, next morning, she ate her breakfast so that she could, later in the day, be back with the green-skinned student for the second and final lesson, with the blood being brought back from the refrigerator she called the refrigerated blood vault at this time. She hands the vial of blood to Iturizu, in an aerosol spray:

"Now that you have your own blood in a vial, perhaps you could start by spraying the blood on the suit of armor. Thank the Force the blood isn't contaminated"

Iturizu Yuvie

During breakfast, Yuive had time to reflect more on her home planets suffering, though having long lefts its grasp when rescued from her homes rubble by a Dominion Sith knight, taking the young girl to train on a nearby desolate plant before their untimely death. Though in that time span it seemed bad thing after bad things had been happening to Miral, constant wars and attacks, the more troubling fact being the zombie scourge that had engulfed the planet, something the Sith did not want to take care of, using the un-dead hordes for their own advantage. As a means to prevent attack as the barriers that separated the living from the dead where purposely made flimsy, as well as the reports on zombie soldiers with Phrick and other sabre resistant materials nailed into their body to fight against Jedi. It was horrific, making Yuvie just despise the Sith Empire even more, 'It may take me many years, but I will liberate my home world one from the grasp of tyranny'.

Her train of though was interrupted by [member="Janick Beauchamp"] as she explained the next step of making the armor, "Right like this"? the Mirilian went to work spraying her blood around the suit of armor, making sure to evenly spread out its drops along its surface, taking extreme care in doing so.

[member="Janick Beauchamp"]

To boldly alchemize what no one alchemized before
"And now you may wish to focus the dark side onto the suit of armor; as the dark side is getting infused into the armor, spirits will enter the suit and provide it with the properties you with to give it. Usually, for armor, that will include lightsaber resistance as well as a boost to your Force-energy"

But at a cost: getting tired faster if one is careless with the Force, as you will also be liable to sink deeper into the dark side the more you use the Force while wearing it, she thought, while watching [member="Iturizu Yuvie"] try to infuse the suit of armor with the dark spirits. As much as she knew about the plight of Mirial, she realized that the dark side is getting more adventurous: the GE attacking Dagobah so far away from home, so far away from their borders, and also the SE committing atrocities on Thyferra. And yet, Janick knew that the process was almost over for Iturizu and that she would be confident of the student's ability to alchemize at a basic level, and that she could always come back if necessary, if she wanted to alchemize electronics or to create alchemical crystals; she always considered metallurgy to be much more basic than crystallography. Because crystallography is more than simply infusing spirit ichor into an object, bound in blood; using the Force to compress and heat the materials that are to become the crystal is a must for crystallography.

Yuvie gave a nod as she channeled the dark side through her finger tips, something she was more than adapt at by now, but still being careful and precise, though no longer liking her former faction, the skills that they had taught her were invaluable, all but if used for the wrong reason. Was this path of darkness necessary to achieve her goals? perhaps, perhaps not, but the Jedi had failed to many times, and even when they did succeed it never lasted or just resulted in a big down fall, the only way to combat the Sith was though their own mean, only then, with the removal of their order could light and dark coexist. The CIS could do it, the Dominion proved it, all that was needed was to remove the ideology that had caused all the galaxies problems, even if it meant her own destruction at some point.

Soon the suit was ready, the force echoing out of it as Yuvie finished infusing it with then dark side, stepping back to take in its full glory, it was menacing, but also looked powerful, "I hope I have done adequately in this task".

[member="Janick Beauchamp"]

To boldly alchemize what no one alchemized before
Janick patiently observed the young Mirialan as her surface thoughts seemed to be focused on exactly what the problem was with Sith: they promoted a hive-mind of intolerance, but the Confederates, the Dominion and the ORC to a lesser extent, Now that [member="Iturizu Yuvie"] finally got the alchemizing of the suit of armor done, it was time for her to consider the billing part of the deal. Yes, she acknowledged that, from the client's standpoint, it was better to pay all at once whenever possible, but sometimes somebody had a pressing need for an item that could not immediately be paid in full, and even less so for the big purchases, like a house, a ship or a business, but it was one of those rare instances where financing seemed to be an actual option to put on the table. These days, commercial credit norms were so lax that virtually everybody that didn't declare bankruptcy could have access to credit as if it was nothing. Before the whole billing deal could be done, she had to ask one uncomfortable question to Iturizu, which she knew few would even dare ask (even though instances of payment delinquency were, fortunately, pretty rare):

"Perhaps financing may be a better option for you, so that you may pay for the alchemized suit of armor in six or twelve monthly installments. Obviously, if you think paying for the armor all at once is possible, please say so"

Iturizu Yuvie

Be carfule what you wish for
Yuvie though about the option presented her, though also slightly surprised by the wiliness and leeway in the current sale, not that she was complaining though, made things much easier. True it was within her price range to pay for the suit almost straight up, but such action would eat into her savings rather deeply, leaving Yiuve a bit hard for cash, something that may be a problem if her TIE fighter needed fixing, possible bribe money and general supplies.

"I believe that six monthly payments will do just fine, it’s not too much at once and will leave me with enough room to maneuverer financially, but also provide you with a decent and constant, but not to drawn out flow of cash, well hypothetically anyways, does this suit you well... yes pun intended, I may be a by the books person but I can joke around".

[member="Janick Beauchamp"]

To boldly alchemize what no one alchemized before
"No problem, I'll return with the financing agreement"

With the payment plan in six installments being drafted into the agreement, with the bill attached to it, and, of course, the obligatory disclaimer that a collections company to get the money may be used should [member="Iturizu Yuvie"] fail to meet payments, even though she trusted the Mirialan to be able to pay for the suit - in fact, she chose those terms because of her ability to pay, Janick would finally done dealing with this client, once the final bill was due. Yes, she had flashing memories of those tales she heard about how irresponsible people would be abusing financing plans, how it led some of those people affected to live above their means, just that in today's world, she knew that financial literacy was usually a core thrust of a mathematical curriculum in grade school. But once those memories of financial (il)literacy were done flashing in Janick's mind, she advanced, a little more nervous than usual for handling bills, which was understandable since it was one of those rare occasions where she had to actually use the financing agreement. It was a little shakingly that she handed the financing agreement to the Mirialan, with one carbon copy and the original.

"Just sign here, and you may leave with the suit of armor in hand" she told Iturizu while pointing at the lone dotted line, with the bill as the attachment.

"No problem, I'll be waiting right here".

Even though there dealing seemed to be causal and neither participant were going to pull anything on one another they would still have to go through the regular business process, just the usual bits and bobs to get everything done legally and by the book, something Yuvie could understand just fine.

"Sure things, and yes I would like to take the suit since you have offered, in addition I will make the first monthly payment right now as a sign of good faith".
