+ Elite Training: Recruited from the best candidates seen in the Iron Army or Security Bureau, ISOG Operatives are already talented and well-trained soldiers with even more specialized and intense training regimens. All ISOG Operatives are trained in a variety of battlefield and squad roles, in order to supplement losses and quickly adapt to different situations.

+ Well-Stocked: Being used by the Iron Empire for all kinds of tasks and operations, ISOG Teams are able to requisition all manner of equipment and weapons to aid in their missions, utilizing this equipment that can give them the edge over a regular soldier or an enemy in a fight.

- Lack of chances: Thanks to the thin amount of material used on their armour, ISOG Operatives can take a much smaller amount of hits from blasters or slugthrowers before their armour will be penetrated.

- Specific Work: ISOG Teams are effective in highly specialized and specific missions, and wouldn't be very capable as a pure frontline force, having issues with supplies and logistics concerning their very specific equipment they've requisitioned.

- Light Weaponry: ISOG Operatives don't have access to support or heavy weapons elements, and are unable to deal with heavily armoured vehicles, only having access to mostly small arms with very few exceptions, and only in very small numbers.
  • Description:

The Iron Imperial Special Operations Group was devised by Iron Imperial Army Command along with the Iron Imperial Security Bureau in response to the lack of a dedicated special operations unit to serve in military and clandestine operations. Originally formed with a first class comprised of exactly half Army and half Security Bureau candidates, classes of prospective ISOG Operatives are recruited from either of these branches and put through a training course covering all manner of ground and marine tactics, including fighting in various environments such as underwater and even in the vacuum of space.

Currently, ISOG teams are used for precision operations, striking objectives and targets that cannot be trusted to a larger, louder military unit. Along with this, they are used for Security Bureau tasks and deployments that require a team of military specialists rather than an agent skilled in infiltration or espionage, though they can work in tandem with these agents and can be the teams sent to respond to matters of National Security.

Apologies for the delay in getting to this, got to love that red screen on Google. Now a few things that need addressed:

  • For the equipment you have listed that is not made for the Iron Empire, do you or the faction have any threads that show you were able to obtain this tech? The affiliations for them either read as for Abregado-Rae, Private Market (in the case of the Wrist Bolter) or Omega Pyre, and not open market, so they would be restricted to those groups unless a deal was struck.
  • I'm not so sure about the current weaknesses. Being an elite squad automatically leads to smaller numbers, that's not a weakness of the unit, just a fact of life. Almost the same thing with elitism, it kind of goes without saying an elite unit is going to feel they are better because they are. Please change these to something more significant that might hamper their ability in some way on a mission.

I've included as a relevant link in the original post the thread that has the contract between the IE and Firemane/Abregado-Rae, and Omega Protectorate products were obtained through the contract with Abregado-Rae.

I've changed the weaknesses and added another in, I hope that'll be sufficient. Apologies that I've taken a bit with this, been quite occupied recently.
