Description: Designed based on the ancient Guardian Mantis weapon systems the Ion Encumbrance Package is a slightly bulkier system but allows for it to combine the two parts of the weapon and create a larger capacity for ammunition and tags. The gun package is more laid out like an old CIS deck gun with both barrels side by side on a swivel to allow it to track and rotate when in a blister of guns on a ship. The first barrel has a tracker for fighters and ships coming in close that launchers an ion tag made to disable shields of fighters and sections of larger ships to expose it to the rapid fire nano missiles. The second barrel is for firing off the nano tracking missiles quickly to track and destroy what has been tagged. Primary drawbcks of the gun is it can take up space on most ships and has a very short range when mounted on larger ships. When mounted on a fighter it takes up space for torpedo tubes and can only track one target at a time unless the tag is disabled.
