ADVANCED SYSTEMS

STRENGTHS
  • Terror in War - Its offensive and defensive capabilities make the Invictus Antagonistes a serious threat to anyone and anything it is engaged with.
  • No Further - Its extensive gravity well systems as well as its own moment sustainers and alternative travel method make it a strategic asset.
  • Gears of Warcraft - With both production facilities for arms, droids and the cloning of the Legions as well as four drydocks located on board the ship, it is a mobile facility capable of supplying its own soldiers and warmachines.
  • Through Hell - In case of unavailability of hyperspace travel or issues due to gravity wells, the fortress can make use of its Helldrive.

WEAKNESSES
  • Starborn - The Star Fortress is due to its size and own systems absolutely not suited to go into lower orbit above planets or the gravity will pull and rip it apart. It is not suited to get into atmospheres at all.
  • Behemoth - This space station is capable in many regards, speed and manveuverability do not belong to it.
  • Physical Hack - If capable of overcoming the exterior defences and interior securities, activating and destroying EPHEMERIS and its protection would lead to an overall shutdown of major systems of the fortress, making it basically a sitting duck.
  • Belly Shot - While on distance the weaponry remains basically a bubble all around, the closer you get to the under part of the fortress and towards its center, the less weapons can shoot there.

DESCRIPTION
Constructed several decades ago by the shipwrights and engineers of the Rim-Guard Order and Eternal Empire, the Invictus Antagonistes would serve as the formers headquarters during the early campaigns, especially against the Bryn'adûl and the Sith Empire. A battle-station with immense firepower and strong defenses, it was a reinforcement to both the Eternal Fleet and later the New Imperial Navy.

But with the Rim-Guard Order taking a more selective role in the Second Great Hyperspace War against the Maw, a massive battlestation was much less required and they relied more heavily upon battlecruisers and cruisers to transfer task forces of their gene-engineered soldiers to aid and support the Stormtroopers and units of the emerging Empire. Eventually abandoning the cause of the Eternal Empire altogether and joining with the Tarkinists of the Empire of Bastion.

With the progressing war and more focus put on development and progression in terms of technology and refinement of the bio-engineering, the Invictus Antagonistes was entirely refurbished and started the production of the new clone troops. Reducing the ceremonial and comfort on board for the more productive and technological interior, nearly the entire inside of the star fortress was restructured.

The finished station was now fully capable of breeding the new generation of the Grand Legion as well as equipping it with arms and armour, all self-sustaining and autarch. The heavy weapon suit as well as advanced defences were upgraded to new standards, furthermore up to date technology for production facilities, gravity well projectors and their countermeasures, a hyperspace tracker and updated administration and control software for the GEMINI and EPHEMERIS were installed.

For the last two decades this was the status of the station. Until it was taken over by the Imperator Primarion Hiperius Primarion Hiperius who moved the star fortress into the service of the Kainate. Adding some more exotic technologies such as the alternative Helldrives and Storm Generators to the arsenal, making the starfortress ever more versatile.

STRENGTHS
  • Warmachine: The Star Fortress is built to repel the heaviest of attacks, its defensive and offensive measures can deal with an entire fleet attacking it.
  • Fleet Base: The Invictus Antagonistes serves as a large docking area for ships of diverse classes and can even maintain them while docked.
  • Order Sanctum: On board the star fortress is a secluded area which nobody but the members of the Rim-Guard Order may enter, it can house up to ten chapters of the Order and its equipment as well as its larboratories and armouries.
  • Skytrooper Production: On board the station are facilities to produce the droid troops of the order, the Skytroopers.

WEAKNESSES
  • Among the Stars: The Star Fortress is built to for the emptiness of space and therefore will suffer structural damage when it gets too close to zones with high gravitation like planetoids, including total destruction as its engines could not prevent a fall.
  • Sun Generators: Though heavily protected by additional platings around their reactor room, Sun Generators are a liability if damaged and can cause a major system failure and unplanned rapid disassembly.
  • Lumbering behemoth: This is no assault ship or designed to deliver swift attacks. The Antagonistes is a station and its movement is very slow and limited.

The Invcitus Antagonistes is the new stronghold of the Rim-Guard Order, a mobile and hidden base somewhere at the edge of the Unknown Regions. The construction was issued several years ago and approaches its finalisation, it took a good amount of resources which were gathered and acquired in the Unkown Regions during the expedition of Ecthelion Aiglos in his search for Iokath technology. The construction is a unique design developed by the High-Imperator and his cheif engineers. The central station was built featuring four distintive quadrants around it, allowing for each quadrant to function more or less independently.

In the center of the station is the Ordo Ecclesiarchy, a fortress inside the station itself, closely guarded and protected by both droids, automated weapon systems and genetically coded doors. Behind those gates are quarters, training facilities, gene-larboratories and armouries which are the home of the Rim-Guard Order. Here the paladins are trained and equipped as well as created. The larboratories are both research and transformation for the recruits of the Order, where they endure the long processes of transformation to become paladins of the order.

The majority of the station is dedicated to the military purposes of housing and maintaining military forces of the Rim-Guard Order.

The station has a distinct silver-grey colouring, non-reflective.
