Intent: To provide Confederacy military forces with a reliable military dropship suitable for troop deployment or transport of military materiel and cargo through and to hazardous- and combat-zones.
Development Thread: -
Manufacturer: Incom Corporation
Model: Incisive-class Dropship
Affiliation: Confederacy of Independent Systems
Modularity: Yes. The Incisive-class Dropship has the capacity to have sections of the ships swapped out for functionality, with the different equipment/storage options being mounted to bulkheads using standardized mounting hardware. The standard model has room for fifty troops and their kits, to be deployed while landed. The bulkhead-mounted storage units and seats can be removed and replaced with twelve bulkhead-mounted surgical suites with room for six medical droids and six combat medics. Also available is a loadout for aerially-deployed troops (30 para-troopers or 22 jet-troopers, with equipment).
Production: Mass-produced
Material: Durasteel for the structure; transparisteel for viewports.
Description: The Incisive-class Dropship was designed primarily to deliver troops, materiel, and support to Confederacy military efforts, all while withstanding sustained fire in combat zones, a feat it accomplishes by way of thick armor plating and shielding units. The ship features an angular, aerodynamic design to help negate the effects of this heavy armor, with short wings set low on the front and both low and rather higher on the back for stability control. Mounted to these short wings are centrally-controlled laser turrets to provide some defense in combat.

The ship's major strength is its versatility. The ship's bulkheads are built with mounting points for different modules to be installed. These modules are locked in on the inside using tension levers which, when disengaged, allow for a specially-designed heavy lifting droid slide the modules out off the rails, to allow for another set to be slid on and locked into place. The modules can be stored in prefab warehouses or ships in orbit.
