DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
Made to be a step up from the original design, the new IG-SP has undergone many changes when compared to its predecessor. Equipped with programming of the fourth degree, this security droid will lay itself on the line when it comes to protecting who or what it has been assigned to. The built in weaponry is cheap but satisfactory, a single wrist blaster barrel that is interchangeable between lethal energy or stun bolts. Ultimately loyal to their owners, these droids are capable of operating within custom set perimeters though will always have their sensors alert unless specified otherwise. This allows them to react to more subtle environmental threats, though a true master of stealth could be able to outwit them.

Much of the new IG-RM’s skeletal frame was taken straight from the older model, the biggest difference being the outer plating. The use of agrinium was a wise choice, for the lightweight material allows the security droids to move faster, while still providing them with decent protection. The agrinium plating also makes the droid partially resistant to the personal energy shields radiation, which would be carried along with it otherwise. The personal shield it uses comes from a small low power generator within the droid’s waist, which when activated projects a snug field of energy along the droid’s body. This is to compensate for the new IG-RM’s lack of armor plating, though the shield offers limited protection, and is only activated once engaged in a hostile situation or upon command.

Strengths:
· Lightweight: Not encumbered by a bulky metallic shell, the IG-SP is capable of moving faster than some droids, allowing it to respond to potentially dangerous situations better.
· Awareness: Equipped with a variety of sensors, the IG-SP can detect chemical anomalies and other similar threats in its immediate vicinity, allowing it to respond accordingly for the quickest of solutions.
Weaknesses :
· Duped: If aware of its hunter-like programming, the IG-SP can be outwitted. If detected on its sensors, the droid will seek out the threat and attempt to find its point of origin. When separated and caught off guard, a few well-placed shots is all it takes to disable the droid before it can engage.
· Exposed: The entirety of the droid’s body is not reinforced with armor, only the essentials being well protected from harm. From the waist down the droid is vulnerable, the main weakness being the limb mechanics in its pelvis.

DESCRIPTION
Borrowing from other IG droid models and programming, the simply dubbed IG-RM 2.0 is considered a step up from the previous version. Though its main directive is to protect that in which it is assigned to, the 2.0 is also capable of detecting threats (to an extent) and dealing with them effectively, dependent on variable situations. Having done his research thanks to the trans-system data storage library still accessible on Halowan, Ballen-Ist gathered information from hundreds of years ago, uprooting once thought dead projects of his company in order to develop a new product. Possessing only limited know how in mechanics, the illusive CEO passed down the files to the top droid developers of Holowan Laboratories, allowing them to put their expertise to use in designing the new droid model. While the company had made a decent amount of profit thanks to past deals, the 2.0 was still to be mass-produced, and thus somewhat cheaply made in structure. The droid body itself was to be made of basic durasteel, the specifics of the actual droid components being based on older IG-series models.

Those at work proved to be efficient to the Sith, for a prototype was presented to him within no time. The project was not to be completed so quickly however, for the durasteel plating included stretched their resources that could otherwise be focused on producing droid bodies. The personal shield too would result in a further delay, for even with its low power, the radiation emitted proved to be harmful. Reaching out to his contacts from Halowan to the Hutts, Ballen-Ist was able to arrange for shipments of agrinium to be brought to Alabesh, where the production of the 2.0 would soon be fully underway. The new plating proved to make a formidable lightweight defense, allowing the droid to move at a decent speed while still offering competent protection of its vital areas. Once ran through a simulation, Ballen-Ist found that outside of its observance and protection duties, the droid was almost eager to hunt down threats once they were detected, even more so when identified.

In a pack they were more of a threat, in most cases able to rush hostile test subjects. Once Ballen-Ist pitted them against one skilled in espionage, he noticed the structural weak points and potentially self-destructive default programming. Having left a smoke grenade in a vent, the agent was able to avoid detection from basic sensors, terminating the droid with two well-placed shots to the vulnerable waist and lower abdomen area, while it focused on following the smoke trail. Despite noticing these flaws, Ballen-Ist pushed ahead with the project regardless, knowing the weaknesses would only be exploited by those with droid know-how and a keen eye. Either way, if somebody really wanted to destroy these droids, they would find a way to do so. While they are effective at what they do, they are still semi-cheap droids. Months passed, and the simply named model became the IG-RM Surveillance and Protection droid, available for purchase to those who require such services, or are otherwise able to pay the price.
