I found a cool homebrew system!

Well I was reading around on 1d4chan and I found this cool homebrew TO system called Server Crash. It's a cool idea. The backstory is basically "Everyone gets sucked into the internet and needs to survive." Threats on the internet include viruses, Cybers, which are weird virtual chimeras that hate humans, and of course other humans. The town's/cities are called Webforts, and PCs and NPCs can wield programs as their weapons and armor, and can look like anything from Space Marines to Jedi.

Anyone want to try and do a campaign of this? I would DM (or Admin in game terms), and it would likely be fun :)

Here is the article on it on 1d4chan:

Class archetypes work like in Shadowrun, where you can take any skill as long as you have the XP for it.

They are as follows:

Hacker: Uses exploits and such to Buff allies and Debuff enemies, break through security programs, and gather info, but they cannot use heavy protection such as personal firewalls.

Probers: They use server code and properties to see thru hyperlinks to their destination.

Coder: They are Specialists in creating new programs and items to use

Surfer: Experts in surviving the wild Web outside of webforts

Script Kiddies: not much coding skill but they specialize in fighting with other people's creations

Virus Rider: Crazy SOBs who take Viruses and either ride one virus that they Boost in power, or they replicate it into an endless swarm

The game's dice system is D10 success based, similar to Shadowrun (again), where your Attribute + Skill gives you the number of D10 to roll, before you subtract the modifier the challenge presented gives.

Combat is round based, with one round being 1ms, the computer standard. Programs take a certain number of rounds to use, anywhere from 1 to 10.
