GENERAL INFORMATION

[*]Average Lifespan: 90 GSY
[*]Estimated Population: Rare
[*]Description: Hyal'Hâsk, it is a name that means They Who Seek Anguish in the ancient Sith tongue. These beasts are not the product of any natural conception, but are the culmination of monstrous magic and science wrought in the black halls of the Spire of Eternal Night. Female Eldorai were taken from the wilds of ruined Kaeshana and subject to horrific torture and experimentation, their genetics and corporeal bodies ultimately fused with that of the barbarous Graug over and over again until the mutations led to the creation of a brand new species. The bestial Hyal'Hâsk combine the savagery of the Graug with the intelligence of the Eldorai which made them the perfect candidate for a new breed of shock troopers to fight on behalf of the Pacanth Reach.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I & Type II Atmospheres
  • Average height of adults: 2 - 2.4 meters
  • Average length of adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Ashen White to Dark Green
  • Hair color: Black
  • Distinctions: Hyal'Hâsk can differ greatly in physical appearance ranging from hair, skin color, and abnormal physical deformations. It was not uncommon in the early stages of development to find that some Hyal'Hâsk had developed extra limbs from being fused with one or two of their siblings during the quick gestation period. Generally, however, all Hyal'Hâsk are of similar body shape, height, and musculature.
  • Races:
Male Hyal'Hâsk: The standard Hyal'Hâsk as seen above.
  • The Star Queen: There are no female Hyal'Hâsk among the mainstream species, and thus the males do not possess sexual organs of any kind. The only female in existence is a hive mother who gives birth to the Hyal'Hâsk in exorbitant numbers to compensate for their short battlefield lifespans.

[*]Strengths:
  • Strength, Agility, Resilience: Able to breath both Type I and Type II atmosphere with no difficulty, the Hyal'Hâsk are able to endure both harsh climates at either end of the spectrum as well as their nature for endurance and physical strength, both easily recognizable traits of the Graug species, and for the agility of the Eldorai. In part due to the Sith magic, but also due to the very composition of their organs, often fatal blows can be survived as their bodies are conditioned to withstand pain and damage beyond that of an average individual. They are also immune to disease and poison.
  • Mind of a Hunter: Boasting an enhanced sense of smell that puts them on par with other predatory creatures across the galaxy, many of those who have come to face the Hyal'Hâsk say they can smell fear - they are not far off. Able to track their enemies and sense their presence through smell, they are natural hunters.
  • Intelligence: Unlike their Graug forebearers, the Hyal'Hâsk possess a keen intellect thanks to the Eldorai genetic material used in their creation but are not as intelligent as your baseline Eldorai thanks to the meddling of genes.

[*]Weaknesses:
  • Carnivorous: Unable to consume anything other than meat, if the Hyal'Hâsk were to ingest plant matter or processed food it would induce vomiting as their bodies are not equipped to handle the digestion of these edibles. This means if their supply lines are cut, they must hunt native beasts as foliage cannot supplement their diet. When pressed to great extremes it is not uncommon for the Hyal'Hâsk to resort to cannibalism to sate their hunger.
  • Emotionally Challenged: Overwhelmed by the most base of emotions, the Hyal'Hâsk live in a constant of competition with their peers. Violence has been bred into their very being and they often find themselves more comfortable when in the heat of battle than when there is nothing to direct their attention on.
  • Extreme Weakness to the Light: As with all alchemical creations, the Hyal'Hâsk are extremely weak against the Light Side of the Force. This is doubly so thanks to their Graug genetics, and will flee most Light Masters if not in the presence of a powerful Dark Side master such as a Sith Lord and Master of the Knights of Ren.
  • Thinner Skin: The Graug from which the Hyal'Hâsk were molded from had a very thick durable hide that covered their bodies, but thanks to the inclusion of the fairer skinned Eldorai genetics the Hyal'Hâsk has lost that thick hide. While their skin is still pretty resilient, it can still be easily pierced by edged weapons.
  • Incapable of Wielding the Force: The Hyal'Hâsk are completely incapable of wielding the Force in any way, shape, or form despite being born through the Force via Sith Alchemy.
  • Bacta Immunity: A strange genetic abnormality occurred in their biological makeup that rendered them immune to the healing properties of Bacta, thus constituting more traditional means of medical treatment.
  • Can't Swim: Hyal'Hâsk are quite dense, literally. The density of their structure enables them to stay on their feet when hit with something hard and heavy, but is a lethal drawback in watery conditions.
  • Mediocre Eyesight: The Hyal'Hâsk can see very well in low-light environments, and pretty well even in pitch black. However; they have generally poor eyesight in daylight and can suffer excruciating debilitating agony if caught in the range of a flashbang which renders them temporarily blind for several minutes.

CULTURE
  • Diet: MANFLESH
  • Communication: When communication with individuals not of their own species they speak a relatively fluent Galactic Basic, but amongst one another they tend to speak either Eldorai, Graug, or some kind of hybrid mix between the two. They can also relay simple commands through hand gestures and can transfer their emotions through facial expressions.
  • Technology level: The Hyal'Hâsk have no technology of their own and instead use whatever they are afforded by their Master which tends to be a mixture of Graug and Imperial weapons and armor. They are also known to scavenge technology from fallen combatants and repurpose it to their own specifications, often cobbling together tech from different factions.
  • Religion/Beliefs: Some Hyal'Hâsk have latched onto the Graug religion, often paying tribute to the War, Harvest, and Mother Gods before and after battle on a regular basis. Despite what secondary beliefs individuals may practice, there is one entity that all Hyal'Hâsk universally worship. That entity being their beloved Star Queen who gave birth to each and every Hyal'Hâsk in existence and who in return treat her with the utmost respect and reverence, often considering her to be a deity made flesh.
  • General behavior: Ultimately the Hyal'Hâsk retained more of the Graug genetic behavior than that of the Eldorai. They are rowdy and violent, and have been prone to getting into fights with one another over any reason when mired in the lull between battle. However; when armed and made to fight against the enemies of the Dark Side they possess a strange camaraderie with one another to overcome obstacles and enact battle plans and formations according to the battle training programmed into their very genetics.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
None could argue the stark differences between the barbarous Graug and the fey Eldorai, they were to each other as night and day. Yet where many saw division, the Sith Lords Carnifex & Prazutis saw opportunity. They had long since utilized the Graug in their personal armies as they combated the champions of the Light across countless battlefields, their ruthless brutality and their ingenious engineering improvisation had proven paramount on more than one occasion. Yet they were often unreliable and prone to eschewing strategy for haphazard disorganized assaults, which eventually led to them being relegated as the vanguard of armies, forgers of siege engines, and breeders of beasts.

So when the First Order claimed victory over the Galactic Alliance at Kaeshana, Carnifex and Prazutis began to experiment with the genetics of their Graug soldiers and that of the intelligent natives, the Eldorai. They isolated certain genes within the Eldorai that gifted them their superior brain capacity and began melding that with the Graug directly, but the early trials were nothing but failures. The Graug were not suitable hosts for such radically different genetic material, but it began abundantly clear that the Eldorai possessed a genetic structure that was far more malleable.

If the Sith Lords could not impose greater intelligence upon already existing Graug, then they would have to fashion a completely new species from both hosts.

They rounded up the most fertile of Eldorai females that they had acquired and blended their bodies and minds together with that of female Graugs, warping their bodies over and over again, fusing them together repeatedly until all semblance of their former shapes were lost. This progenitor was further augmented with Sith Alchemy to breed at a exorbitant rate without the need of a partner, and the creatures born from it were something not wholly Graug nor wholly Eldorai.

They were something more, something grotesque and abominable.

Carnifex took to naming them the Hyal'Hâsk, which in the ancient Sith tongue roughly translated to they who crave anguish. They were smaller than the Graug, but larger than the Eldorai and were gifted with the strength and intelligence of both parent species. They lived far shorter than both parents as well, but could comprehend tactics and battle coordination at a much greater level than the average Graug. They were utterly ruthless as well, and were utterly committed to the ideals of violence, war, and conquest.

OK, let's see...

Find a more PG-13 and less edgey way of saying they were created through alchemy that combined female Eldorai and Graug.

Strengths: stronger, faster, tougher, taller, more coordinated, able to survive more serious wounds, resistant to pain, totally immune to disease, totally immune to poison, can probably beat stealth with a directional sense of smell.

Weaknesses: if their supply lines are cut they go hunting or eat each other; they get bored and like fighting a lot; they run away from Jedi Masters if Kaine or Praz isn't around; their skin is only somewhat tougher than normal, rather than a lot tougher.

They're going to need a lot more functional weaknesses and limitations to balance out.
