Description: The Hekler'Kok Anti-Vehicle/Ship Proton Cannon Mk I is the next step in anti-vehicle and ground to ship defense weaponry. The A-V/S PC Mk I is originally based off of two cannons that were considered rivals in the days of the Clone Wars, the Seperatist J-1 Semi-Autonomous Proton Cannon and the Republic AV-7 Anti-Vehicle Cannon both of which saw service from the beginning to the end of the Clone Wars on the ground and even in space. The main basis for the A-V/S PC Mk I is the proton shell it fires which is able to shred most vehicles it comes up against, take down landing craft with a single shot and even bust through the shields of light cruisers. The R&D teams at HK took this farther and enhanced the stopping power of this shell by lining the barrel of the cannon with magnetic accelerating rails. How this works is actually pretty simple, the shells contain a small explosive charge at the base which when detonated propel it upwards through the barrel towards the mag rails which accelerate the shells even further allowing for the range and stopping power it has. A final advantage of this weapon is just how much it could demoralize the infantry, to which armored vehicles get utterly pummeled by a single shot from this or watch a battery of them take a cruiser down would have a massive negative effect on morale.

Though a great weapon this weapons does come with a hefty amount of flaws. One being it's slow rate of fire being only able to get off a single round every twenty seconds meaning enough forces could easily overwhelm a single cannon. The weapon, especially the mag rails, require routine maintenance to keep the weapon working in tip-top shape. Unlike the J-1 and AV-7 who could operate with a single user the A-V/S PC Mk I takes a crew of four to operate, two loaders, a gunner and a commander to effectively be used. The A-V/S PC Mk I is a extremely noticeable piece of equipment and is most likely going to be targeted very quickly in a battle making it essential to be defended and could drain infantry support from other engagements. The cannon is NOT a artillery piece and therefore cannot fire its shells at a angle, it requires a clear line of sight of its target which if the cannon is not concealed properly means the enemy will also have a clear line of sight to the cannon. Another downfall of this cannon is the shell itself, the shell relies on a shaped charge for its penetrating power and this means it has to hit a target dead on to do damage so things like reactive armor and protective cages will stop the shells, it is worth noting however that while it will stop the round penetrating the target the people inside the target will still be at the mercy of the shockwave from the explosion. The final downfall of this weapon is though while it is also a anti-ship weapon it would need a battery of at least eight cannons to do any major damage to anything cruiser sized with it decreasing in cannon count by two for every ship size, cruiser equals eight, light cruiser equals six, frigate equals four and corvette equal two.
