Strengths:
  • Ramming Speed, Mr Sulu: The Hardback comes with a lot of horsepower and a dual-reenforced ramming prongs in the front. This tank is designed to be able to punch holes through even re-enforced duracrete bunkers to make way for the troops inside. However, everything inside better be secured because that force could knock most beings off their feet and send a lot of crap flying through the air.
  • Strong defense: This transport is designed around one idea, getting troops safely to their destination quickly. As such, its designed to take some serious damage before it gives up the ghost.
Weaknesses:
  • Low armament: The Rail gun repeater is great against personnel and could really fend off some nasty buggers, however it doesn't do a lot for vehicles. Sure it could probably knock your average swoop out of the air, or maybe a speeder after a couple rounds, but with military grade vehicles and armor, its gonna do little more than give dents and frustrate the pilot.
DESCRIPTION
War is a bloody game, tragically a lot of it often boils down to throwing hoards of your own grunts at their grunts to see who can kill more of the other guy's grunts first. Most of the deaths on a land battle are not commando units, rather they are these grunts and meat cans who's lives are relegated to just soak up damage. Never mind that they got wives, children, mothers, and fathers back home eagerly awaiting their return so long as you win, right? There really isn't much in the terms of troop deployment safety besides the armor of the troop themselves--and when did any durasteel plating or plasteel plating ever stop an AA flak round or a heavy machine gun?

Enter the Hardback. This troop transport leaves the damage-dishing game to those tanks and heavy sluggers already out there, its job is to just carry your troops from point A to point B in a quick, but living condition. Any building or barricade that stands in its way typically are crushed under its heavy horsepower without much worry. And don't even worry about that bunker when you get there, the Hardback will shatter it in a ram--maybe two--letting your troops slam into those foes like there is no tomorrow because at RMIA we believe that wasting the life of a single troop when you can just transport them to safety is pointless. The real problem any user of this vessel will encounter is the light armament. The rail gun on top is designed to be an anti-infantry not an anti-vehicle weapon.

All in all, its just a troop transport designed to take your boys from point A to point B alive.
