Erik's Simple Guide To Staying Out of Drama

The amount of drama has greatly decreased in this community ever since the new Invasion and Rebellion rules about good storywriting and lack of drama.

However, when there is drama now, you can bet it's huge.

So how does one stay out of drama?, you may ask. That is actually very simple, if you follow these easy steps.

REMINDER! The first step is the most important. Most, if not all dramas can be settled using only the first step.

[ 1. ] I'm Having Troubles With This Thread I Am In
  1. Talk these things through with the other writer(s).
  2. If the first step didn't work, contact a role-play judge.
  3. If the second step didn't work, leave the thread.
  4. Now that you've done so, think about what has happened and if there was really a need for any drama.
DO NOT
  • ... write a salty post in the OOC thread.
  • ... talk behind the back of the writers in this thread.
  • ... report the thread before having talked to the writers.
  • ... @mention Tefka in your post.
  • ... rage quit SWRP: Chaos.
[ 2. ] I'm Having Troubles With This Other Writer
  1. Contact the other writer if you have serious problems with them.
  2. If the first step didn't work, contact a role-play judge.
  3. If the second step didn't work, don't write with the writer anymore.
  4. Now that you've done so, think about what has happened and if there was really a need for any drama.
DO NOT
  • ... write a salty post about the writer in every thread you can find.
  • ... talk behind the back of the writer ever.
  • ... report the person before talking to them.
  • ... touch Valiens' Twi'leks.
  • ... rage quit SWRP: Chaos.
[ 3. ] I'm Having Trouble With This Faction I Am In
  1. Contact the people who cause the problems you have in the faction.
  2. If the first step didn't work, contact a faction admin.
  3. If the second step didn't work, contact a role-play judge.
  4. If the third step didn't work, leave the faction.
  5. Now that you've done so, think about what has happened and if there was really a need for any drama.
DO NOT
  • ... bombard the faction with salt from the Dead Sea.
  • ... talk behind the back of the faction to every contact you have in Skype.
  • ... report the faction before talking to them.
  • ... use Spencer's legal name.
  • ... rage quit SWRP: Chaos.
[ 4. ] I'm Having Trouble With This Faction's Owner
  1. Contact the faction owner of the faction and talk the problems through.
  2. If the first step didn't work, contact a role-play judge or and administrator.
  3. If the second step didn't work, leave the faction.
  4. Now that you've done so, think about what has happened and if there was really a need for any drama.
DO NOT
  • ... send a nuke of salt to the faction owner's PM inbox.
  • ... message the staff team every day, talking behind the back of said faction owner.
  • ... report the faction owner before talking to them.
  • ... shame Yarva for changing his main account.
  • ... rage quit SWRP: Chaos.
[ 5. ] I'm Having Trouble With This Skype Chat
  1. Contact the person from the chat and talk to them.
  2. If the first step didn't work, contact a faction administrator.
  3. If the second step didn't work, leave the Skype chat (unless it's staff/admin/CJ/FJ chat).
  4. Now that you've done so, think about what has happened and if there was really a need for any drama.
DO NOT
  • ... spill too much salt in the Skype chat's members' foods.
  • ... contact the Skype Technologies.
  • ... destroy your Skype account.
  • ... spam Thurion's request a rank title thread with three posts from all of your alts.
  • ... rage quit SWRP: Chaos.
[ 6. ] I'm Having Troubles With SWRP: Chaos In General / Staff Team
  1. Contact the staff team.
  2. If the first step didn't work, do not contact the staff team anymore, but just keep on writing. Do what you can to ease the drama.
  3. If the second step didn't work, leave SWRP: Chaos.
  4. Now that you've done so, think about what has happened and if there was really a need for any drama.
  5. Come back to Chaos. ???
DO NOT
  • ... mine salt to plant it in DDOS services.
  • ... mention how much you hate Chaos / Staff Team in 3.5 status updates per day.
  • ... sue Tefka.
  • ... tell Kyra to be active for once.
  • ... rage quit SWRP: Chaos. Quit nicely (say your goodbyes and stuff).
But I have one more question, you may say, how do I become a good person after having caused so much drama?
  • Simple.
  • Just.
  • Be.
  • The.
  • Best.
  • You.
  • Can.
  • Be.
  • ...
  • Be fair and follow all these steps when you have problems.
  • ...
  • And write an useful OOC thread every day. ;P

No, seriously people.

It's this freaking easy.

And never take anything seriously that doesn't actively harm anyone.

You don't like someone's post? Tough noogies, kiddo. It's not going to kill you.

I like to make fun of everything. If you can laugh about it, nine times out of ten you'll be fine.

And get drunk.

That's how I deal!
