Description:
The Grimoire is an ancient book found in a cave-tomb on Korriban. It's actual content is nothing extraordinary, being a series of notations and descriptions of archaic forms of Sith Alchemy that differ wildly from the accepted and developed/refined methods of alchemical thought and process practiced in the modern day and times. It even goes so far as to describe how to empower an alchemical forge, comparable to a low-level force nexus, though to properly execute those to their best potential, the reader would need outside assistance and training, or further research, or experimentation on their own- as the matter was obviously beyond the Apprentices depth, though it does allude to other sources to check for greater understanding of the many basic concepts prefaced.

As well as Alchemy, there are notes on Minor spells and rituals concerning Sith Magic, and it's fundamentals at the time of writing it are included. Where to stand, what grand gesture to make and at what time. Different vocal intonations for different spells, and even a description of the proper lay out of things for the ritual. This includes robes, sigils, tools, how to set up the proper conjuration layout and workshop, and more. Nothing specific so as to how to devastate the earth and warp the very Force itself, as ancient Sorcerers were said and wont to do, but still a grasp basic enough to facilitate one to truly begin their walk down that path.

The book itself is bound in terentatek hide which appears alchemized, but is oddly enough bound shut by encircling chains of electrum and durasteel, locked shut, with a key linked to the chain mae of fragile looking bone. The symbolism within it is evident- once the knowledge within is free, it may never be bound again, and will forever change and corrupt the reader of it into someone - or something - different than that which they were in the beginning.

The Grimoire is not a Holocron or Datacron even. It is not as vast or as powerful a learning tool as a those devices and is bound by the extent of what was written, and limited by the Appentice who wrote it's understanding of such things. Nonetheless it is a valuable learning tool to one such as Ostanes. It covers nothing much more than one might learn by studying the collected material for a few years on their own, but eliminate the risk of blind experimentation and fumbles.

As the description dictates, this is a book, not a holocron. If this is misused I will be very disappointed.

Approved, pending secondary.
