And that was exactly what he was doing. As Darren spoke, Cecil typed. Word for word, exactly as he heard it. Good notes were the best notes. Though the answer that Darren gave him was kind of less than satisfying. It sounded like the typical party talking notes, as it were. Talking points, that was it. He'd learned about talking points ages ago.
"That's all well and good, and good ideals to have, but that's just the talking points. The party is more than that, I'm sure of it. Be detailed, Senator. If you want me on your side I need more than the standard drivel you feed to everyone."
He smiled a little, showing that he wasn't trying to be mean, he was just smart enough to know talking points when he heard them.
